Therefore, this comment is here to answer the most frequently asked questions. If you are having issues with the controller connecting, this is due to the SCPService not installing correctly. To fix this issue, refer to my video on how to fix it by following this link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGenqn2cmchrhas If you can't get your Bluetooth dongle/built-in adapter working, refer to this video to get it working: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKbbiYiBg5apsJo If you are wondering how to swap the triggers with the L1 and R1 buttons, refer to this video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5zQnn6ggd2jjs0 If you are wanting to connect a PS3 controller instead of a PS4 controller, refer to this video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqG2koKAf66opJo If your controller is stating that it is charging in the SCPMonitor, this means the controller is connected and working properly. If your controller is charging, but won't work in-game, try rebooting your PC with the controller connected or make sure the game you are trying to play supports the use of a controller. Not all PC games allow you to use a controller. If you are getting "Host Address: Disconnected", there are two things going on here. Are you using a Bluetooth dongle? If no, then ignore it. Host Address refers to a Bluetooth dongle and not the controller. If you are using Bluetooth, then the Bluetooth driver failed to install and you need to refer to this video to install the driver manually: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKbbiYiBg5apsJo That's about it. After a few years of using Xpadder, a PS4 controller and the SCP DS3 Driver Package with my PC, I finally had to say goodbye to all three! The driver package wasn't working the way it used to. I exchanged my PS4 Controller for a wired Xbox One controller and used it with AntiMicro Controller Mapper. Antimicro does everything Xpadder does and it's newer. Using my Xbox One controller is simpler because it's Plug-N-Play and AntiMicro recognizes the controller immediately without the need for additional drivers that may or may not work with Windows 10. It was fun while it lasted but I'm happier with the current setup.

FINALLY got this working. Took many attempts which required just walking away and coming back. On Windows 7 Pro, 64bit, AZIO BTD-401 Bluetooth. What it took was uninstalling the drivers that come with my bluetooth. Then following the steps in this tutorial and then restarting. I cant access the bluetooth settings and the ps4 track pad doesnt work like it did with DS4Windows but now I have the option of going wired at my desk or sitting in bed wireless. Also DS4 isnt working anymore; with all its fancy options and track pad convenience but I think thats just a matter of messing with it. I hate having to choose one over the other but my aim was to get the wireless working. Not such a big deal since I havent got into remapping buttons or whatever else im giving up using this method vs DS4Windows alone. Thanks for the vid.

Thundershot69 What has happened is that upon rebooting your PC, Windows has overwritten the drivers for the controller. You can stop this from happening by disabling the auto-driver installation feature on Windows. To get the controller to work again, open the SCP Driver and click uninstall and then install the SCP Driver once again. As for the Host Address, it does not relate to USB at all. Host Address only relates to a Bluetooth dongle and nothing more. If you are not using a Bluetooth dongle, ignore that.

For Wired PS4 Configuration, after the Zadig step, you still have to install the ScpDriver, but just no need to check on Bluetooth configuration. Fire up the SCP DS3 Monitor you will see your controller is connected..

BowGunner I got it to work on windows 10 - follow the tutorial make sure you unblock the following files; >ScpPair >ScpServer >ScpService if you dont know how to do that - right click on them then properties> then click unblock at the bottom applt and get off. after doing that click in SCPdriver uninstall if you have installed and then make sure to click on force install, install that and it should work hopefully p.s do all of it as run as administrator, AND the main thing is force install so make sure you do that

For windows 10, download the latest version of Zdiag and replace it with the one in the package. If you tried the zdiag from the package already, do a system restore. Uninstall the PS4 Wireless Controller drivers and plus in the controller so they install again and then try Zdiag again, it should work after that. Hopefully you`ll read this message before so you save yourself the trouble of the system restore.

So I can connect my controller using my micro USB cord just fine, but when I attempt to connect through bluetooth, it connects momentarily, and then blue screens my computer. I know I could just used a wired connection, but I'd prefer to use a wireless one instead. Any ideas?

I done all the steps until the host address and it says pad 1 is disconnected i don't know whats wrong im using ps4 controller via usb

so after the step of going to SCP Driver, I clicked everything. Problem is when I install it after having configure service clicked, everything else unclicked, it gives me this read out. Install Succeeded. -- Install Summary -- SCP DS3 Service ---this is missing for me though.. The issue is when I got to command prompt their is nothing their for me to stop, or at least when I type in what you said it shows service name is invalid.

i'm connecting with usb, and when ever i try to download the vcredist_86.exe it says i have a newer version of c++ 2010 has been detected and now the ScpMonitor cant detect it

Zadig won't replace the drivers for me. It just keeps telling me that the install timed out.

Just FYI, this works with the Kinivo BTD-400 Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter. It's what I've been using. ;) My 3rd time hitting this video, 1st to originally pair, 2nd to fix Window's uninstall of the driver, and 3rd on my PC upgrade. :)

Everything went perfect until I have to pair my controller with my dongle. The thing is, I don't have the DS4 Pair tool within the file. The controller still works if plugged in but it would be nice to make it wireless. Any suggestions? Thanks for your time and videos

funny thing, before i use this, my pc do detect my controller as wireless controller, jsut not 360 controller. I was planning to use this software to make it detect it as 360 controller but after i use it, my pc wont even detect i have a controller attach at all.

My Bluetooth dongle is connected to a PS3 controller, i've tried removing it from device manager but it still connects to my PS3 controller, what do i do ?
