Started playing with my uncle and my wife, we spent our first two sessions running around like madmen, dying as soon as a hunt started and kinda just exploring not really understanding the point of the game was to figure out what ghost it was, second session we learned that you could hide during hunts and that was TERRIFYING. Now im like "there has to be something more to this game, watching these and im gunna be the new "expert" of the group hahaha,. we are all pumped to play again.

I always start with emf and thermo. The ghost room is always colder than other rooms so for me the thermo is the most consistent for finding the ghost room. I do admit the video camera is great if the ghost has orbs but I usually grab that next when I go back to the truck.

The tier 1 thermometer is garbage tho and you can't find the ghost room with it cause it takes forever to adjust

@ I listen for interactions and check with emf to find what was interacted with then I use the thermo in nearby areas to find the ghost room. It’s never taken as long to adjust for me as it did in the video. After I find the room I drop all my stuff and go for more evidence items. To each their own.

Nothing wrong with EMF and Thermo as a starter, it is all preference, I just can imagine people missing the ghost room at first as it has not had time to cool/thermo get to temp/house warm up/etc.

@@Lil_P66 it can be annoying especially if it’s snowy weather. I’ve just been unlucky with ghost orbs. Yesterday I played for three hours and only saw orbs twice. I’m glad they work for you though. Also I’m not criticizing your video or anything. I’m a new subscriber and I think your videos are great!

I leave the doors open especially when I know everyone's Sanity levels are low or getting low. This way if the ghost starts hunting, everyone can run and find hiding places much faster to get out of ghost's LOS. If all the doors were closed I would end up getting caught by ghost trying to sprint then open door then sprint. I barely make it to a closet now with everything open!

Not too comfortable completely disregarding orbs right off the back if I don't seem them. I've had games where they don't show up until minutes into a contract. For instance had a ghost in the Tanglewod nursery that we thought was a Yurei in a no evidence run as it used it's ability on the door. Check for orbs but don't see any. Go back in to trigger a hunt for a task. Ghost blitzed at us like Usain Bolt. We somehow survive and go check the cameras in the truck. Sure enough, there are orbs.

Interesting point, I am pretty safe to rule it out, but sometimes if I don't get anything else for awhile, I will go back and check. If I am looking for awhile and don't see I will mark it off. I have had orbs right away when walking into the house, so I don't think they are delayed.

Ghosts really can't do anything to you for awhile. Most ghosts won't hunt until 50% sanity or less, and anything higher might be creepy, but really they don't do anything to hurt you, it is just all in your head. Learn how to escape hunts and view them as fact finding sessions, because a lot of ghosts can be identified via their hunt traits alone, or even be ruled out

I have a filter when recording that brightens the game up for viewers, my actual screen is darker. I recommend playing 250% brightness with eye adaption on

DOTS are an absolute pain, first step is make sure you are in the ghost room. I would highly prioritize getting a second DOTs pen over many items to further increase your chances. Setting one on the ground and one in your hand is not bad, I have been testing that more lately but you can also place both on the ground to widen coverage. The ghost has to choose to enter DOTs state so knowing the ghosts exact location can help. Setup things like salt and motion sensors to better keep track of the ghost location. I have also found the ghosts like to blow out candles a bit so set one up in the DOTs and you might can see DOTs better. So how did where the ghost room the first time I know that u saw an event but that happened in the other room but that also wasn’t the room, so how did you know that was the room?

So ghost's can ghost event on you if you are within 10 meters from it and on the same floor, which on Tanglewood is just about anywhere in the house. Since we heard the sink running I knew the ghost room would likely be the bedroom/bathroom. It then threw a cup confirming the ghost to be in there, which we later saw our breath and the temp drop in that room.

For the first stage EMF i Figured its not emf 5 if it only goes up for a second, i only counted it when it stayed at 5 for a couple of second Edit : and i dont know why so many people hate D.O.T.S, even the stage 1... i loved it and it was so easy xD
