Helpful video, was dipping my wife’s car roof black and got some terrible blushing. I was so confused how that happened because i know I used wet overlapping passes. Now I know what happened.

I thin my raw plasti dip with Xylene. I have access to Naptha but could I do this process with Xylene as well or is it required to be Naptha. I just re did my Camaro from ZTN Hypershift to ZBR and the black and red have some major blushing from the humidity where I live.

Hi, I haven't dipped my car but I have blushing that is happening on the hood in the original paint atleast I think it's original... I bought the car used and the first owner may have had the paint touched up because of rock chips. Anyways will Naptha help clear the cloudiness in the clear coat?

Great video! I have a few questions hopefully you would be willing to answer . I am Red Plasti dipping some plastics on my GSXR and I made the mistake of doing my last coat of red in the humidity, ended up with blushing. I’ve done probably 5 coats . I was tampering with the idea of doing one coat of pearl then a coat of red metalizer - suggestions on doing those two ? And would I need a glossifier after the metalizer - I want a shine . Would the blushing go away if my next coat was to be either of these two or should I just do another coat of red ? Thank you so so much !

Hello @DipYourCar I'm struggling to find information on the ideal state for a vehicles paint finish before dipping the car, is an 800 grit or primer'd state OK? Or does a car pretty much need to be repaired and at the level of a good non-peeling clear coat status?

I've got a few spots around my car windows that dip removed from as I didnt catch those "remove when wet" areas fast enough. I went with the shadow black kit and still have some shadow black left. Can I correct those spots with your thinner solution so they "stick to the vehicle" where the dip pulled up and then fill those spaces with a fresh coat of only shadow black...without the base coat? I'm waiting to make these corrections this spring if possible and wanted to know if I need to fill those peeled spots with a base first or if shadow black would do the trick? Thanks!

How would a naptha bath work with a shifting pearl finished with DipPearl Top Coat? Would it impact the color or clarity?

Had to do a naptha bath on my Fiero. The humidity spiked right after my last coat of slate blue and lead to blushing. Looked perfect after the naptha bath. Can check out the walk around of it on my channel! Thanks for the info Fonzie!

edward Matthews actually my kids have done that with basketballs and their bikes. Hasn’t damaged the dip yet. 🤷‍♂️ then again I use dip coat on it too.

We laid out a very wet, heavy coat and then opened the big doors of the booth and let a ton of humid air rush in.
