Kudos to you. Nice channel content. Explanation is clear and accurate. Yes, I've seen people showing off their 140+ top speed on Click 150 (Vario in PH) and yes they switched the final gear drive which caused inaccurate readings on the sensor reading. It's all just for show. Looking at these comments "nmax fanboy" makes me laugh, they are too dense to accept the evidence provided. Speedometer is bound to show inaacurate data if the sensor is receiving inaccurate readings. How hard is that to understand? 🤣 Pretty much the same when people upgrade from 100/80 to 120/80 rear tire, they get slower odo reading because tire dimensions have changed. The speed loss due to more surface contact should be minimal

the given explanation is only a part. other issue is increasing the ratio from 9.8 to 10.7 wont increase speed but acceleration. the engine modification must took place. at the least, an aftermarket ecu is on those bikes.

Asside from the main gear tooth count what are the no. Of teeth of the other gear pieces? Maybe we can replace with an aftermarket gear set part for the new vario150 or pcx availabe in the market like 15-42t or 15-41t?

I change the counter gear to 17t.. stock using 16t.. in order to use 17t you will need to use after market pulley and change the clutch spring cos the gearing will cause the whole cvt ratio to be quite tall.. its like moving off with second gear on a manual bike..

@@mlxnrzhr just replace the counter gesr and nothing else? Yes i have a 165cc engine already with ecu,, cvt, clutchset, puleey and all. Want it to go a little higher on the top speed. Tnx your info on the transmission side is a big help and rare as most just mention the cvt side.

@@dhaxside you cant really run stock 16t on big bore.. your rpm will redline at top speed.. you definitely need 17t counter gear.. try to get a tachometer install.. it will help alot with cvt tuning..

Ok tnx, i can see the rpm on the laptop as i program the ecu. It peaks at 126kph at around 8500=8750rpm even when my rev limit is set to 10k. Powerband is there. Using a touring cam as a big race cam is not too good on the street and fuel econmy drops alot. I will put the 17t counter gear on order asap w yuminashi tnx again cheers!

came across a clip of the old mechanic work shop in bangkok shown the ratio calculation to johnrider/utuber. he is installing 10.6 ratio on adv 150, to help people adv with top box for touring. 10.6 is not for getting maximum speed but reducing.

I got a question, why is the RPM meter alittle bit weird, i was 80km but the rapm is at 40rpm ..and sometimes it goes up and down,is this normal or malfunctioning

Normal.. its a cvt.. rpm will go up under load and goes down when theres no load at the given speed..

@@mikeal-assaddungon2446 no, its a cvt. Not like a fixed gearbox where the final drive chain sprocket will affect how all the gears behave. In cvt, it will only make your lowest ratio "like the first gear" taller. Same goes to the highest ratio "like the last gear" taller as well.. it will not affect how fast the bike goes or better top speed.. you change them to keep your rpm within the peak rpm power all the way to top speed..

Final drive wont give you top speed unless you know which gears to change.. primarily the front portion of the gears.. im still doing testing on this..

I can. Its in my list of mods to do but not anytime soon.. the serial baud rate from the ecu to the meter is not a standard baud rate as well.. i just need to put a small micro controller to translate the data to rpm in the middle to display rpm instead of fuel consumption.. but sadly the indicator is only up to 80.. which i can set it to display 8krpm.. the bike peak rpm horsepower is 8.5k rpm.. max rpm 9.5k to display. unless i set it to display 60 as 8.5krpm.. quite alot of coding work to do..
