theres many variator out there.. which one is the best??.. measure them before you install them on the bike.. no more guessing...
I ONLY gave dimension for ADV 150.. you need to calculate your own dimension to get the lowest possible ratio and highest possible ratio at the same time for your bike model
there is a way to calculate the required angle and dimension to get the best of both world..
ADV 150 riders can get the pulley with my dimension by letting Kenzo know " Malex ADV 13.8 ".

Hi Sky. you are right, on bigger primary pulley for upgrade. let me share current cvt. before buying matic, i heard about dragging. now, after over a year with beat esp and adv, the dragging issue is more prevalence on bigger cc but with same (simple) cvt set up. as more and more dyno service are available, put my adv on the mill. on hp/rpm chart, dragging showed as camelback graph line. the clutch bell wasnt round after hot runs. kevlar carbon clutch line, or zoomer clutch springs couldnt react the 1 mm or less discrepency at 5000 to limit rpm (limiter was not shift due engine began to stutter). factory reinforced clutch bell with thick plate but could cope with buildin heat after hard run. safe drive...

Peak power is at 8.4k rpm for adv.. as long as you tune your cvt to shift around 8k-8.5krpm you will see a flat line on the dyno...

Theres 4 things that will affect your throttle response.. 1)Variator face angle 2)Rear pulley helix angle 3)Roller weights 4)Contra spring Top speed is all about engine peak power rpm..

Rs8 pulley angle seems aggressive with no top end.. aggressive pulley angle makes the flyball heavy.. you need to go lighter flyball.. i havent check out Race99 pulley..

I suggest you install rpm meter or install obd2 bluetooth reader... the obd2 reader like mine can datalog on the phone... send the datalogged file to me so i can tell you exactly what is the problem..

Depends on how high you want your rpm to be at low speed.. comfort and power is 14 degree.. 13.5 is like max pick up and very draggy low speed ride.. do take note that the angle will affect the roller weights you use..

No, you need to keep the rpm in the peak power rpm.. if your are running adv 150 standard, its 8.5 krpm.. top speed will also depends on your tallest cvt ratio..

hi, any tips on how safe is customizing stock pulleys? im planning to customize mine at a shop and tell them its its for daily use, but i have fears about customized pulleys breaking or causing other cvt issues.

Its very safe.. My pulley is customized from the stock pulley and ive done at least 25,000km of harsh riding.. i would usually try to max out the variator working range and tune the rollers weight for daily use..
