To hear the "Swedish Chain Saw" sound, hit 8:46 It's getting close and I suppose that in a mix one could think it's a HM-2, but when you've very familiar with that pedal, you know something is not right. Anyway, that's just my opinion.

Ohh... That snare sound is sweeeeeet..... :D PS: Hi Scott. Recently I'm trying to find a tone that is close to Death's Spiritual Healing sound. I don't want to copy the exact tone, just land somewhere close to it but I seem to go a bit too muddy or way too harsh and brittle. Any tips? Thanks.
@Room893 жыл бұрын
What guitar/amp combination are you using for that. A VS8100 should be able to get you there.
@RudalPL3 жыл бұрын
@@Room89 I've got Amplitube 4 with stock amps but I got MESA Dual Rectifier for it. Like I said, I don't really want to copy the tone but am looking for that midrange(y) sound. I may add that I'm not a guitarist, I used to play drums and now just make my own stuff in the "bedroom".

That's probably the first video on the Swedish Death tone that doesn't tell me to put all the HM knobs up to the roof to get the actual tone :) Did you use the default IR that comes with the Audiority V-amp or something else? I wonder if you can get the Death tone from the Solidus VS8100...
@ChernobylAudio6663 жыл бұрын
Death tone from Solidus VS8100 is totally possible. And yes, for both of the amps I just used one of the IRs that came with the amp, no 3rd party IRs or anything! And to be fair, the SWEDE mod has all the knobs cranked, hahah :D
@francoisbonet2893 жыл бұрын
@@ChernobylAudio666 They should have called it the LAZY mod instead of SWEDE to make it really clear... Anyway, thanks for pointing to "my" free upgrade of the Audiority's HM!!! Cheers!

Filth is the closest but the knobs on their plugin dont correlate to how you'd use the pedal in real life. Seems like anyone who tries to copy the EQ curve from the hardware ends up with a different sounding resonance.
@ChernobylAudio6663 жыл бұрын
Every pedal is different, so the guy could model 100 pedals and get 100 different results. But you know, nothing would make you happy anyway.

Hey Scott, maybe I missed it but can you tell me which Ir's you're using? I'm struggling with a black metal project of my own and that tone you got is very similar to what i'm trying to achieve but i think i need different cabinets maybe, Thanks!

Hey Scott, how do you avoid phase cancelation when combining two different tones?When I do it sounds weird...
@ChernobylAudio6663 жыл бұрын
Hey there, if you're using IRs not from the same company, you may need to flip the phase of one of them, also you may need to adjust when the IR starts, because they may be edited at different lengths. Other than that, play as tight as possible \m/
