I got my credit score, 750 plus (don't recall exactly what its currently at), by buying a car and getting a credit card and paying them off and by staying well under 10% of the CC limit. My CC limit now is 15k. The second car I bought they threw the keys at me.

Been focusing on this for quite a long time. Working on becoming debt free and increasing my credit score doing so. 6 years ago I closed on my house and at that point when I checked my credit score was 819. Haven't checked since then but i never miss a payment.

I got a Capital One card and with my credit where it was, I could only get a limit of $300. Fast forward 2 years later, after financing a new car and making those payments on time every time, my limit was increased to $2,050. Keep grinding and don't give up.

One tip I would give is pay attention to the statement date pay off the credit card on the due date so that you have 0 utilization and don’t use the card till after the statement date because whatever utilization you’ve used is sent to the credit bureau on the statement date not the due date it’s usually 4-5 days after your due date and this will help your score a shit ton

@@kinggale407 check with your credit card company ask them what day your statement is reported it’s usually 6 days before your due date and if you pay it all off it will report to the credit bureau that you have 0 utilization instead of if you payed on the due date it reports to them whatever it is that you payed off

Valuable topic Gents! THIS NEEDS TO BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS. Fortunately my parents taught me about credit early on. I'm teaching my kids about it now and they're learning how to manage financial decisions on their Greenlight cards. At 25 bought my first house with a 730 score. Now in our 40s my wife and I boast 830+ scores.

I'm 25 with a 755 credit score. And I never had a credit card. So no need for a credit card there's better ways. Start a business and borrow and pay your debts on time. Only borrow if you know you can double or triple the amount you borrowed. Don't use debt for fun or pressure. But if you do have a credit card and you wanna ball out a little, use it for something that hold value. Like a luxury watch. Stocks or cryptos

I implemented all of these things 5 years ago. Auto pay clears a lot of stress from opening the mail. Deposits in a separate account for bills helps. I also took out VERY SMALL loans with $20 monthly payments and I went from 550 to 750 and rising.

You can also often get a secured credit card through your own bank to build your credit. You're ba basically just opening a savings account and then borrowing off your own money. It seems very low level but it can actually do a lot to help your credit score. I had a low 600 at one point and after just the secured card was able to bring it up to the mid 700s.

I had an EVICTION, JUDGEMENT and quite a number of other negative items on my report with a low 400's CREDIT SCORE. These prevented me from getting a mortgage until I starting looking for help. After he finished working on my REPORT in just 7 days, my CREDIT SCORE increased to 780, all the negative items on my REPORT were deleted permanently and he added good trade-lines to boost my credit mix (Mortgage tradelines, Installment tradelines, Revolving credit cards and Auto tradelines) on my report, I got the mortgage and that was phenomenal! 850creditrestoration🟡net

Be carefully with the collection agencies. Just because you come to an agreement, or even pay the debt in full, they may not take the derogatory information off your credit file. I've heard stories of collection agencies holding your credit score hostage as they extort even more money from you. Talk to a reputable company that understands the law and how to deal with collection agencies. They will deal with the collection agencies. There are lots of laws on the books to help protect consumers. It may actually cost more to have the lawyers resolve the issue with the collection agencies, but it will get resolved.

Went to buy a truck this past winter. It was a small dealer but they had the truck I wanted for 15K. Even with a 760+ credit score they tried to hit me with 10% interest lol. I was gonna walk away then turned back and said f**k it put it on the Amex. Got the truck outright with the title, 15k points and got a used car loan with a bank for 4% a day later... The moral of the story is great credit allows you to think outside the box and not get hustled by people who want your money. This is coming from someone who was in the 500's 5 years ago.
