Its my absolute favourite Buce. Good luck with your plants! It certainly is about trial and error, but a worthwhile journey!

Yeah definitely seems like a good idea. I wouldn’t be surprised if the cuttings used the glue as something to “root” into. I hot-glue cuttings of succulents & air plants (not aquatic lol) to wood and rocks all the time; they root right through it. Also it’s amazing to me how well these plants (like Buce) do as cuttings. They are aroids after all! From Araceae family! I feel like Anubias are basically a mini water Monstera, in form & growth, Bucephalandra are like mini water Philodendrons. Cryptocorynes are like water peace lily (spathiphyllum)!

You know your plants very well. The glue definitely does help with root growth! When I first heard about super glue I did a double take, but later found out it is used widely in aquascaping....hence my white sticky fingers!

Interesting, I avoided cutting stems with no roots. Maybe Im paranoid but I have some that broke by themselves with no roots and it takes ages for them to grow

It really depends on the Buce. You had Kedagang? Mine grows very quickly. I've sold forests of them.

A very nice video. Looks like bucephalandra plants get vibrant colors from the NICREW Full Spectrum light. Please let me know your light settings (W, B and how many hours per day ... etc)

Thank you for your comment! I don't use Nicrew, I'm using Finnex 24/7 HLC. I have it on full for 12 hours a day.

@@GavinKohAquascaping OK Thanks for the quick reply. I thought it was a Nicrew as in the description it links to Nicrew lights. Do you have a link to Finnex light that you are using for this tank?

I got a question… I have a piece of driftwood that extends above the waterline. Does anyone know if I can I put this on the emergent hardscape do make the driftwood look like it’s growing leafs???

Most definitely! In the wild, Buce grow by the water's edge on ebbing and flowing rivers. Lots of time they are out of water, but moisten by the splash of the river's flow. So yes, as long as the roots are in the water, the leaves can be out. In fact they might even grow faster as the leaves get to absorb more CO2. Hope this helps.
