Beautiful video- I’m about to re-scape my tank as well. I’m a lover of Buce as well- I fell in love with it when I first saw the blue-irredecense shining on the leaves- have several interesting varieties but Biblis is my fave, I just ordered some ‘Belindae’. Hope you make more Buce videos. I’m using your ideas for farming/cultivation now as well. One thing I found is that my Buce will actually grow faster in my ADA soil- I’ll plant it carefully so only the roots are in the soil (not the rhizome), I’ll find that the roots end up deep in the substrate and a lot longer than the roots of plants glued to my rocks- I’m unsure if this translates to better leaf growth but if the rhizome is longer that surely means more potential later for propagation. Thanks for your videos- you deserve more subs!

That is a very interesting experiment you did. I'll have to look into it. I hear people also doing it with other epiphytes like Java fern. I'm sure it can also be done with anubias. Either way, thanks so much for your nice comment!

Best easiest plant! I love them and have few beautiful ones in my tank.. I disagree with your statement… buce’s can easily survive in colder easy water; I have these and a few prettiest ones and my tank is just a low tech and cold water and they are thriving!

@@GavinKohAquascaping I am in love with buce’s… anubias a bit less but for pinto and gold which I have in my hanging root garden; created roots myself by glueing pieces for days and then anubias on them but my iwagumi tank is all buce’s … I create aqua Ukiyo-é which is unknown to even Japanese but it is where I get my inspiration for… those traditional Japanese paintings and a holy trinity of nothing more than 3 prominent pieces of whatever you focus on in your design.. go easy, go minimalist and go 3! The buce you found is available at two stores here in Paris (Yes THE one!) and they are lush and full and rather cheap actually and wish you could get them. I know in this online plants in Netherlands you can get them too whenever they have them in stock

@@GavinKohAquascaping I don’t know where they come from tbh; I hardly buy Tropica given I don’t set up planted tanks but only use epiphytes and mostly Bucephalandras; I buy them from my local store or online and they’re in pots, not like tropica.. also no Dennerle to see the logo or anything on them upon delivery.. Buce collector here. Hope it survives. I received buces that were 5 weeks in shipping with no water and survived. One fast grower rizome can give you 10-15 other rizomes in a year that you can sell. Where do you get that ROI? My most expensive buce was around $8 and I think I sold around 25 of them and have like 50 more. I just uploaded a video of it. kzbin.info5gM39_GLqXE
