Thanks for sharing this video dude! I was just thinking how much of a struggle it was to roof my Oldtown big water last year but once i got a system down, it was easy. This year I'm running a trailer though lol. Wish I could share a kayak fishing session with you someday if your ever up in east Coast Canada, let me know, ill take you Striped Bass Fishing! Cheers 🍻

I have the same kayak how well do the foam pads work that you route through the car?

The foam pads I used to have were great for starting out with. Car got a bit scratched up, so if that's a worry, just be aware.. it's basically unavoidable. When it rains, they will leak. In my car they leaked really bad, and I got caught out in a rain storm once and it kinda messed my car up pretty bad. Bunch on lights went off, check engine ect.. buuut for the summer they were fine. Highways speeds are fine as long as you really strap them down hard. It will indent your roof temporarily. Buuut other than that they got the job done.

@@NWTrailSeries i already have some i just haven't got around to using them i plan on taking them out tomorrow. for your rear tie down do you just go around the rudder mounting point?

@itouchipodz1 yeah run it through the metal bracket that holds the rudder on. On every section of cam strap that is floating(not in contact with kayak or car, make sure to put twists in them, like 1.5 to 2 twists will prevent the straps from vibrating like crazy. (Incase ya don't know) Have an awesome time my friend!
