A jon boat is honestly the happy medium. You can find some second hand ones in good condition for a fairly decent price. They are the perfect canvas to make it your own. But you obviously need something to pull it first…

Here in finland we always use braid for jigs with a fluoro leader. You can feel the bites on the fall much better to set the hook at the correct time. Especially important for zander (walleyes bigger cousin). Obviously never fished for bass but I’d reckon it would be better for bass aswell

What type of kayak is that?

I took my $350 Costco equinox 10.4 kayak, added a old trolling motor I had laying around, a group 24 deep cycle battery, my old etrex garmin gps ( that was taking up space in my dresser drawer). A couple of cheap rod holders mounted to the two 2x4's the trolling motor mounts to, for $500 I have had a great summer kayak fishing our local reservoir.

Cute video. I’d advise using a Booyah poppn pad crasher. The style is most versatile You can pop it, walk it it goes right through cover (The regular nose frogs tip gets stuck on pads and weeds) And they hold together way better. I rarely squeeze my frogs. I personally never cut my legs it’s absolutely insane. Most bass will hit something skirting amongst the surface their opportunist. Big bass Like to make sure before they eat. A pause of a regular legged frog allows the legs to expand slowly just as a real frog does if you observe both. There’s no bigger and stronger bass then froggn bass ✌️🫡🎣 Happy Fishing
