why not use a paint strainer?

I picture one of those cone shaped strainers when I think of a paint strainer. Those wouldn’t work because you can’t manually squeeze the paint through. But your comment led me to do a search and I see that there is inexpensive paint strainer fabric available. Looks like something I should maybe have on hand, especially since I’m out of old tube socks. 👍

When I was a teenager my father had a paint shaker. As soon as I could I joined the USN and beat feet. I guess he had to shake his own paint after that. Nice video.

I grew up in the 60’s with a bunch of older sisters. My dad always had them save their old pantyhose, he used the pantyhose for this exact purpose! LOL

I absolutely despise paint in every way. I much prefer to just use solid wood things and keep it natural. Avoid all mess from paint.
