Using a keyboard key or using an used controller or CDJ button or knob, you can easily playback a mono signal with Virtual DJ.

Great idea! I did CTRL+M to activate the switch to mono. Hit it again and it's back to stereo! Great for when you have to split your output into different rooms!

What about if you have a DJ controller plugged into your laptop ..How do you use keyboard shortcut to set to mono?

You can always map a button or knob that you don't use often to trigger it. When I used the Numark CDJ's--the NDX900, i mapped out the sync button. However on your controller if there is no place you can map it to, just before a gig, go into "Mappings", "Custom Keyboard Mapping" make that M into a mono mix like I explained in the video and then turn it back to the controller. It will remember the mono output. However, mapping a particular button will be easier in my opinion. I mapped out my "key adjust" button on my Denon CDJs to be the trigger since I rarely use that feature. You find a button or knob that you rarel;y use and map it out. If you dont know how to do that let me know.

Question - using the "M" will it switch every time I press the M on my keyboard OR is it case sensitive?
@oldschooldjernie3 жыл бұрын
you'd have to map it out first, watch my video---go to config...its not case sensitive

I did CTRL+M to avoid that. I thought the same thing
