I rarely ate sardines, but then someone from the Philippines showed me how to eat them. They served me some from Spain and they were in a glass JAR, not a tin. First thing they did was dump the complete contents of the jar in a bowl, sauce and all. Then they heated it up fairly warm in a microwave oven. Then they served the sardines on a sort of fluffy fresh, mildly sweet bun called pan de sal. I will never eat sardines any other way, ever, if I can avoid it. Although crackers that aren't very salty are also acceptable. But heated on the pan de sal with the sauce is definitely the way to go.

That's Japanese - not Chinese or Korean. I can read Japanese a little. The flavor is miso. (And, if you don't know, miso is the Japanese version of fermented bean paste. It tastes pretty different from Chinese fermented bean pastes. Japanese use miso mostly for miso soup, but you can find it as flavoring for ramen noodles, dipping raw cucumbers in it, etc.) Since miso is a fermented food, it's supposed to be pretty good for you - the microbiome and all that....

What about when you get the fillet versing do they have all the bones out and stuff. I was considering trying sardines because I can only eat a small amount of protein in a sitting and I don’t like leftovers so therefore I don’t bother to buy a lot of fish or anything like that because I just end up wasting it I thought the sardines size would be a good size but I’m having issues with the bones in the innards like you said I just want a small fish fillet
