Fantastic tip on prolonged fasting, must incorporate that strategy. So, sunbathing in the winter makes sense, though the sun may be too low to generate vitamin D, after all. When I got the C disease, and got a 102F fever one afternoon, I took a hot bath until the chills went away, and jacked it up to 104.5F, then stayed hot, under a lot of covers. I’m just coming off a 3-day sinus infection and I listened to my body cravings. I laid in the window sun and used the fireplace; wore winter clothing and drank tea, kimchi soup, and gym hot tub; avoided sugar and ate greens; avoided blue light; but the best thing I did was use a nasal irrigation with xylitol, grape seed extract, oregano, parsley, eucalyptus, tea tree oil. My immune system was weakened from poor sleep, being outside in the cold all day, eating fried food, and I think using a bunch of windex to clean windows must have weakened my sinuses to allow the infection which all seem pretty similar to the stressors you’d face at the airport. Be careful!

I heard a naturopath-friendly MD say that raw garlic is carcinogenic, that it should be sautéed or heated a little. But two cloves aren't enough if it's regular garlic.

Dr. Berg, I had been taking 12,000 IU’s of D3 (and K2) on my own through much research. I started taking close to 20,000 after listening to you and researching. I am immune deficient, severe asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, diabetes, SIBO and the list goes on. Many lung infections. My recent bloodwork D3 was 134. Endocrinologist called very concerned that I was Toxic! Said I should only take 15,000 a week. I disagree but would love your opinion. He mentioned kidney stones which I remember you addressing. I’m almost 68 years old. Thank you.

between 50-80.. safe range. 134 is way too much and the dr is right about the stones

Thanks Dr Berg. As I get older ( 35 now). It's becoming harder for me to loose weight. After 4 kids delivered via c section, my tummy has become really big and uncomfortable, giving me back aches, sometimes I think it's the tubal ligation I did that's making my tummy big. I used to loose weight easily on keto and stay keto adapted. But after baby number 4. it's becoming really hard. Am experiencing chronic stress from work, house chores, children upbringing and did I mention sleeplessness. My memory is now bad. I really need to start intermittent fasting and slowly progress to keto. My metabolism is really slow now.
@experimenthealthyketo832 жыл бұрын
Dr Berg made a few videos on each of these points. If you search his name and, for example, "How to loose the last bit", "sleep quality", "children nutrition", ect. You will find many helpful gems.
