For leveling audio, you should use a limiter plugin on your audio track. The standard for KZbin is -14LUFS, that way you can make sure that when the audio gets loud, you don't go over those peak levels. Also, boosting the audio track by 10dB can still distort your signal on the way out. Hence, why using a limiter is the best way to go. Thanks for the content. I should probably give podcasting a try! Cheers

@SkullyReacts 5 жыл бұрын
You actually want to limit to -6 decibels then Loudness Normalize to (depending on the project) but broadcast standard is -24 LUFS but I usually do -16 LUFS for KZbin content. Hope this helps clear up some stuff.

Always good to hear about optional solid (and free) tools for making audio great. I have a few plug-ins which could do this but Levelator appears to be quick and easy. Also great to find out as the last update I did with my Mac (allowing my iPhone to sync music content) has also caused Audition (CS6x) to crash immediately upon opening with no fix in sight. While a compressor might do the same thing it appears this app does all the fine tuning for you. Great if you are short on time to fix audio before casting. -LiveLifeLoudPodcast
