I found out it wasnt so simple to load internal mags while setting these .json files up. You just need to use simpletypes and add the individual ammo however times its needed. Hope this helps anyone in need. I'm also building an app that can let the user modify and create whatever loadout they need through a UI. I will keep everyone up to date.

Now I'm going to have to make some custom starting classes 😂 wouldn't mind something other the old fresh spawn stuff or overpowering stuff. Definitely want to better utilize the newer low/med tier stuff like shoulder bags or duffels and such since it seems by the time you find those you already have something better. Would be a interesting concept to have a Medic, Outdoorsman, Nurse, Police officer, Farmer, Construction work style class setups to kinda add some lore to it as to who you where before. Instead of badly dressed lost picnickers (fresh spawns)

ive tried using several of your loadouts for my private server, they load in ok but character is unusable ie cant put weapons into hands or interact with anything from the inventory or surrounding environment. Had players become un usable after restart from the same issues. Ive had to wipe my server several times now. I am, really, SO glad you made this video for the singular reason of the toxic attack i took (by some discussion forum people) for doing the exact same thing. I was told how "wrong" i was because (in their wisdom) the game "should be as hard as possible or you're not playing it right" (that's pretty verbaim) . The irony is that i actually "beat" them (mentally) at their own game because i'm generally all about facts and they were just throwing hate because i wasn't being like them. In the end, i got reported, because i BADLY (actually not breaking ANY rules) embarresed them for out-thinking them, and since Steam has NOBODY watching forums for getting wrongfully reported i did get banned for a day but the win was worth it. The "Toxics" as i call them only have one trump card to play after they've been publically humiliated and that's to report you as violating the forum rules because it's the only way they can "get you" so to speak :) And, btw, when you get reported on Steam discussion groups....that's it....you're guilty even if proven innocent because there's actually no one at the other end when you file for an investigation into your banning...it's all a bunch of pre-made responses with random names signed at the end....pathetic really. But back to the video. I feel like people should be able to spawn in with any gear they like. Some people might want to feel like part of a military unit. I "wish" the startup-pick mod hadn't been abandoned as i had to modify my init.c file to get my people with a random military load-out made up by another wonderful fellow on KZbin here. Great video. UPDATE: Also i need to mention that "King Conrail" may be the biggest troll,/douchebag in the known universe on Dayz. The guy is actually STALKING me like some weirdo. I commented, on here, and this dude (after following me around on Steam and starting arguments) "waited" for me to comment there again and followed me back "intentionally" starting a fight when i posted on there about my server issues. No, i wasn't going to mention his name but NOW that he's gone out of his way to troll me i think it only fitting that i throw his name out in public. Here's to the King Douchebag of all douchebags, King Conrail. I'm sure he will go and try and get me banned here just like he did on Steam. Yeah, KC, i know it was you. You can report me again but the difference is, THIS time i actually used a word against you. This guy is the LOWEST of the "low" because he walks around, preaching rules, but really is just there to start chaos. And he's gotta have no life to trail around, reading people's posts and waiting for them to post so he can start some @##$ with them online. What a scumbag. Oh, and it was especially pathertic how he "reworded" my post to make himself look like some 'hero' in Steam and me the bad guy. What tipped me off to it being him who was doing all this was that final post he made about me posting and commenting here. Some of the guys, on Steam, actually warned me that this guy was trouble and, when i least expected it, he would jump out and attack. THey were right but he went full tilt on me by getting me banned (for a day) on Steam.

Re the Belt, I included the belt in the very end part of the file. When you spawn it auto applies it.

You bring up an interesting point, when you define the "custom" directory as custom, it has to be named custom/(random file name.json). I have been watching video on separating out types.xml files and when I heard custom I thought that meant it could be whatever I wanted it to be but the root folder to the custom directory must be named custom, is that correct? so for my xml files I could have it setup like ce=custom/pistols Types. xml? or is this incorrect?

In my cfggameplay file it seems to be completely ignoring the spawn loadouts but unlimited stamina as everything else is working, unlike how it is when there’s a major file error. Server has all the loadouts but refuses to load them. Please help.

I only use the one custom load-out in the above example. If using more than one, then you need to make sure each one is encased in double quotes and separated by a comma, similar to what I've done below for some of my other scalespeeder mods: objectSpawnersArr": ["custom/cherno-weapon-showcase.json","custom/chernarusdrinksmachines.json"], I'm sure you get the idea, and hope this helps. Also, don't forget that there's a trailing comma at the end of the line.
