Fantastic tutorial! I've been uploading my paramotor videos to youtube, but want to upload shorter clips to TikTok. Thanks for taking the time to do this!

Paramotor! 😮 That is awesome. Your videos seem a lot more exciting than my tutorial videos but I am glad you found the video helpful nonetheless 😂

You’re not alone in this at all! I’ve been testing and trialing all of the specific settings to try and find the missing piece in the puzzle when it comes to good quality on tiktok but it’s tricky and temperamental. What has worked for me personally has been exporting my videos (H.264, 1080p, VBR pass one, between 10 - 15 mbps) then encoding them in handbrake (free transcoder software) before posting onto tiktok. Handbrake reduces the file size of your video whilst keeping the exact same image quality, meaning that when it’s uploaded onto tiktok it’s not as compressed. I’ve found that the main reason for bad compression / image quality is social media not being able to process and breakdown the high file size so by using handbrake it cuts that compression out! (a lil anyway) It’s worked for me, so it might be worth trying. If you find another good solution please do let me know!

is there a reason you prefer vbr 1 pass over the other options?
@FeverDaysCreatives2 жыл бұрын
VBR makes a smaller file than CBR because it uses only the bitrate it needs, therefore I use VBR 1 as it is more efficient space wise. The smaller file size also helps when you upload to socials as the platforms like tiktok/insta don’t compress your video too much. You could opt for VBR 2 but it takes longer to encode/export so I normally just stick with VBR 1.

what frames per second do recommend
@FeverDaysCreatives2 жыл бұрын
60 fps for anything in slow motion and then 30 fps for everything else. These are the settings I’ve used and they have worked just fine!

If you double click on your video clip, it will then open up in the source preview tab on the left hand side. Here you then click the small frame and wavelength icon and drag both video and audio elements onto your timeline. Hope this makes sense - it's difficult to explain through text😅
