Only in churches of Christ does the word sing specifically exclude accompaniment. Also scurrying to redefine the word psalm as in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs when there is an entire book of psalms that it refers to.

Clapping brings a musical accompaniment to singing as we are taught in the NT. Also When in prison Paul sung gyms it doesn’t say he clapped.
