No cause I would watch this. 100%. If this was an actual movie or a book or comic or whatever, I would be so invested. Side romance plot, nom nom nom my favorite thing, detective and Wilson would be adorable I bet Edit: also, oopsie forgot to say this, THIS HELPED? SO MUCH?? Literally have been struggling so much to write the plot of my story, thank you so much

Yeee!! NICE!! Just some info, writing without a plot in mind is called Pantsing, (or, that's what my prior writing group called it,) ie: you're writing by the seat of your pants. Not a lot of people can comfortably do it and keep a fully cohesive story and often I find it's best in writing itself with a stream of consciousness style. (Where you follow the thoughts of the character near verbatim and get to hear them shift and jump around.) This is a hella nice way!! Of getting back into it and helping yourself start figuring stuff out. I do a similar thing, but I start with my conclusion because typically I know how I want everything to end up, I just don't know how to get there. So working backwards helps a lot. Ngl Wilson x Detective is new fav ship /jk.

Pooh I didn’t know that! I think that’s what I would do a lot and it just never worked out for me, so I’ll definitely be using this method from now on haha! I am very impressed by people who can write stories by the seat of their pants lmao I can’t do that I need structure 😭😭 I think starting with the conclusion defs works well too!! That’s a very concrete way of writing I think; cuz then you know how everything is supposed to end and you can work backwards. Detective x Wilson forever 🥰🥰

this is actually really helpful!! I too struggle with the conclusion, only ever going as far as worldbuilding and maybe a 'chapter 1' of a story before my brain shuts down and I have no idea where to go from there (that's why at least 4 stories currently are in the back burner, legit burning away T-T so!! maybe one day when I have the motivation and want to write a story I'll go back to this as a guide : D

OH THANK GOD I FOUND THE CHANNEL AGAIN I just kept on entering the wrong name everytime 😭 Relating to the video, I saw some similarities with like, objectives=wants, personal narrative=needs in some of the writing books I've read! Essentially like, I make a world, then personalities, then a problem to throw a wrench in both of those. Thank you for the video! It was very entertaining 😎

I'm fucking two days late- But this video helped out SO much and I think this method will work out for me! ( I had no idea how to use a plot graph before this video ) So, thank you for making it ^^ I actually wanna have a story like the one you wrote in the video, 'cause it sounds really interesting. And I imagine you making lenny faces when writing about Wilson and Detective, I imagined scenarios in my head too. I'm easily entertained.

- Are the detective and Wilson gay? (I did not finish the video yet when I came up with this tag but I waS RIGHT) But all in all I am going to start using this as I develop my story - How I started it out was I made explanations behind random points like my story involves a portal so "How did this portal come to be? Why is it on Earth? Where does it go?" Etc I am going to start using this more because even though I got the more background stuff down I have to develop my characters with it a bit more and how the plot progresses with it - because so far I ended up deleting a character because he had no place and I turned one character into an anime sidekick(because he's apart of the family and I couldn't bare to part with him-) So I did indeed find this video very very useful I would like more videos like this in the future if you ever feel like it! Like maybe what makes a protagonist or antagonist - how to choose which of your characters to be protagonist or make bonds writing conflict maybe? I know you don't consider yourself a professional and you're not one but I do enjoy taking some advice from other writers about how they go about things !

in spite of her name, i dont think anyone's bailing wilson's sister out of jail any time soon yes i know where the door is ANYHOW, this is pretty heckin helpful and extremely fun to watch :D smth i want to add, probably more as a reminder to myself than anything haha: HAVE A GENERAL TIME FRAME FOR WHEN THINGS ARE HAPPENING AAAAAHHHHHH i have no clue if anybody else actually struggles with this, but ive had multiple instances of having the entire story planned out and then realising that i've crammed 4625747271827 events into one day,, i genuinely dont know if this is just me but it is a thing to consider maybe now im leaving to write wilson x detective fan fiction
@CreatureCabin

AHHDHA I legitimately laughed at your joke good job /gen Also yes!! Timeframes are very important. If the story lasts years; it might end up being multiple seasons. But if it only lasts say; seven day? It might only end up being one season! I’ve definitely struggled with that before too haha don’t worry
