So glad you love the channel and I'm glad you finally got the video you wanted! :) As for how often to email, you should ask your coaches what they recommend! i really don't know the answer and don't want to advise you wrong, I didn't email seriously until my sophomore year of hs.

Hey Victoria! My daughter has just joined club this year and has been doing really well. Coach has made her the full time Libero and my daughter absolutely loves the position! My question is, how soon is too soon to start the recruiting process? She is only in 6th grade, but she has mentioned to me without me asking that she wants to play in college (SEC actually). Is it too soon to start preparing now? I am just so thankful for this sport and my daughter loves it! Thanks for your time!

I love your videos so freaking much!! They are so helpful and make me feel better about my future volleyball career. 2 things: 1. @victoriagarrickbrowne4 жыл бұрын
As an OH, you should do a passing and an attacking video yes. You could also do a pass to hit video where its you passing and then attacking in the same play. Subject can just be NAME - GRAD YEAR - POSITION (Victoria Garrick - 2015 Libero)

@victoriagarrickbrowne4 жыл бұрын
You're only as good as your weakest link! Stay supportive, stay kind, and also stay at your level. Don't feel bad about playing well, you will do them a disservice if you go easy on them... lastly, this person probably knows they are the weakest and that probably doesn't feel great, so make sure that no matter what you are nice! You can be bomb at volleyball and beat people badly but still be nice!! :)

I have a few questions because it’s really been stressing me out... I have played volleyball for about 6-7 years and am currently a senior and about to play my club season. I didn’t play club last year because I decided I needed a break, but I do regret it. I know I was a pretty good player but the anxiety almost takes over. I would get nervous for my games and be soooo nervous to make a mistake.. this made me a better player but messed up my mental health. I think that’s why I decided I wanted to “quit” but am now realizing that I will regret this for the rest of my life if I don’t play while I still can. I have watched so many of your videos and look up to you so much, and I think you could give me some insight of what you did to help with the anxiety? I just feel like I’m not good enough and that I will just continuously make mistakes. I hope that makes sense!
@mikaylacampbell44824 жыл бұрын
Btw I played for a national level team which does create a lot of anxiety and stress but it was also fun.. so I’m just torn if I should seek help or try things on my own to help me to accomplish my goals and hopefully play college vball! :)

Hi!! I love your videos so much, they're so helpful - thank you!! Question >> Since coaches are not allowed to email players back (NO CONTACT) until junior year or so, would you just keep repeatedly emailing the same coaches? How do you send a 'follow up email' after a tournament or something if it's against the rules for them to reply back? Have a good day!

Haha hi I’m not in college now but I can help. Your height is going to affect your recruiting but understand that your skill level stands out more than physical qualities ever will. You may have to play more error free and at a higher skill level. But if U do those u should be good. Also I had a girl at my club named Hattie she was about 5’4 and played JR USA volleyball and got a scholarship to Norte dame. So have hope and work hard :)

Im 5'3 a D/S, libbero, and setter (backrow and front row) and my coach at least always picks shorter people for backrow because they can get on the floor faster so i think shorters better.

Hi Victoria! I play soccer, but I think the basic format of player info, why the college and a video of a game or skill footage would still work. Also on the video note, do you think college coaches would appreciate vids of technical skills (foot skills, passing, shooting etc.)? And do you think they would accept an email of just player info and why you want to go to that school?

Hey Victoria, what amazing video you made. There's one big question that I would like to ask is I would like to play on ucla men volleyball team, but the problem is that I never went to a club (due to transportation) I was never on a guys team and I was a team manager on a girl's team at my high school. I was not allow to play and about to graduate. How I would I tell the coach without wasting their time? If you don't know how to answer my question, that is totally fine. Hope to hear you soon. Hey Victoria! I've been watching your videos a lot because I am very interested in doing college volleyball. What sucks is that I live so far away from my school (I live up in the mountains) that my parents can't afford bringing me to practices. Therefore, I miss lots of practices and haven't done club yet (I'm 14 btw). I have hope of being able to attend practices regularly when I'm maybe 16. My question is, is that too late? You maybe won't see this but if you do, please answer. It hurts me that I can't go to practices so I want to know if it's not too late if I am able to in the future (like sophomore/junior year)

Hi Victoria I’m a middle on my club team and I’m only 5’6” and i don’t know if I’m going to keep growing but i still love the sport and would love to play in college so would you recommend switching positions because i know my height wont be that helpful in the future or should i stay and see what happen.
