This is an excellent video. Very helpful insight for anyone who wishes to embed files. However in Excel 2010 you also have another option whether to link to the source file or not, I wonder why this isn't showing in your Excel version.

Here is my question... If you were to email this excel document that you embedded a .pdf file in, would the recipient be able to open the .pdf file? This is NOT clear in your video. Or is the embedded file only openable on your computer because the original .pdf file is on your computer? Second, so IF the file CAN be emailed and viewed by the receiver, you could then encrypt the excel document/file and that would be a EXCELLENT way to transfer confidential documents embedded in excel without using an encrypted email service?

Hi Trump, I received a excel file in mail where an existing excel file has been attached as an object inside the worksheet. When i try to open it i get "Can't find the source path of the file".
