I finished building a landing pad with columns like yours, and realized that 2 of the columns don't touch the ground. So I found a work-around for snapping walls underneath ones you've already placed - if you build stairs out and down, and spiral them back, you can place a wall at the height you need and then attach them with the method you describe in the video, without having to start over

Yes you can connect a door to the pre-fab then a regular wall part should connect to it and you can extend up to there that’s the best I can without showing you can always jump in my livestreams and I’ll be happy to show you good luck 👍
