LOVE me some Crafsman! Coupla tips from someone who's been embossin' for 20+ years: a hair dryer won't work; it doesn't get hot enough and the air blows too strong. In a pinch, you can hold the paper (powder side up) over the heat from a toaster. If you have a lot of stray powder, hold the paper up by its edge and "snap" the back of it with your forefinger (launched off your thumb) and it'll knock off those extra grains. Also, try not to handle the paper too much ahead of time; the powder will stick to the oils left by your hands.

These are great tips, Lisa! Thank you so much! I wasn't sure about the hair dryer, so might should not have even mentioned it. I actually wasn't sure if my regular heat gun would work, but thankful that it did. :)

I wish you had a TV show so we’d be guaranteed an episode every week. I was caught off guard with the action figure. I laughed coffee out of my nose. Now all I smell is coffee so thanks for that. If you would be willing to do a video of some epoxy resin stuff, I’ll buy the epoxy or mail you an amazon gift card or whatever.

Thanks Crafsman for your fun and informative video. You've opened up a whole nother world to me that I never even imagined! I'm no psychic, but I can definitely see myself doing some embossing in the future! In fact, since I first watched your video, I can't stop thinking of different ways I could use embossing; these thoughts won't go away either-it's like they are...embossed on my brain! For such a wonderful video, I give you this gift from my good friend A.R. Ammons: "Birds are flowers flying, and flowers perched birds."

When a friend gave me some personalized paper with embossing on it, I thought I'd love to try that myself, but because I thought it was totally complicated, I never did. Now I want to try it myself

All your videos are so good! I got referred to your channel by Sorrow TV mentioning your bee video, but your vocal delivery + camera work is aces. I'm a fan! (also I'm learning a lot of good stuff from you)

What an enlighting video! I had an embossing machine once that used heat and very expensive ribbon and steel type to make cards, announcements, etc. but I recall it didn't get near the depth that your method does, and not near the flexibility of freehanding the item. Great video! Thanks

Hey Sam! I've never experienced one of the commercial ones, but have always wondered how they work. I was delighted to have found this DIY way. Glad you liked the video.
