Crafsman, I have a suggestion instead of using steel wool. I dip my silver or silver plated spoons/forks in Tarn-X. It only takes about 5-10 seconds. That will take off the heavy tarnish.....BUT...sometimes it gets a white/hazy color after the Tarn-X. SO....the magic happens when get a box of baking soda (maybe from Fred’s Dollar Store) and then wet your spoon/fork with a bit of water and take a pinch of baking soda and rub it on the spoon. The baking soda is a very mild abrasive and will strip off the white/hazy finish in two shakes of a dog’s tail, leaving the spoon brilliantly shiny! It is awesome because you can mash a damp amount of baking soda in tiny crevices and just the pressure will go deep and polish the metal. I also dip an old toothbrush in water then dip it into some dry baking soda and rub the item to get into tiny spaces. When you think it’s polished, just rinse it off and dry it. You can even use a jewelry polishing cloth for more shine. Try it!! You will be amazed! It’s better than steel wool and more delicate on the spoons design. I know....coupons belong to Dark Vader, but if you have a coupon buy 2 boxes of baking soda a Fred’s because you will be using this tech on more than spoons! I promise.

Happy to have shared it, and delighted that people like you have found it useful! :)

Dear crafsman, I would like to let you know im inspired once again from this video! Since you took the time to make it I thought id take the time to let you know that it was enjoyed many times. I am a long time fan of your videos though besides legos I have never attempted many craft hobbies, but I plan to get the pepe ring bender as soon as I'm financially able and start a journey creating rings. It looks like a good starting point for working with metal as there is no soldering. I was also struck by the fact that it is art that you design and put your love into that can then be worn by people as jewelry. This has me very excited to make them for my loved ones as something that will last their lifetimes. Thanks again Crafsman for the inspiration and encouragement!

You're quite impressive, TheCrafsman SteadyCraftin! Your writing skills exceed those of many of my doctoral students, and your voice is mesmerizing and calming. I'm guessing you're extremely well educated, which could mean self taught; I'd guess, however, the crafting of metal and other materials is a hobby that keeps your mind engaged. It's extremely ironic that you removed the t and g from your username, yet you never miss a comma or apostrophe! I'm guessing you're an English professor. How far off am I??? My husband almost jumped for joy when he heard your voice coming from my iPad tonight. I'm not sure if you realize how much joy you bring to thousands of people with each and every video you publish. OOOOWWEEE, my birthday is around the corner and I know exactly what Im requesting..that Pepe tool... Those are beautiful. Crafsman did you know if you leave a little if the arm of the spoon on the bowl you can bend it to make an instant bail and either flatten or keep the bowl the way it is and decorate the center with glued on pearls and different jewelry bits..makes a very pretty necklace. Also if you take comet and put some in your hand, add a little water and make a paste then use a soft old toothbrush you can get into the decorative crevices of the spoon or fork handle. Love the negotiator. Thank you again for sharing....
