Thanks for the video man, I appreciate the way you gave all the necessary info without any extra waffle. The Apple Store in Bondi (Sydney, Australia) today told me not to set to the US region because it will result in “a glitch”. Meanwhile I overheard another store employee telling a customer “just set the region to U.S. until it’s available in Australia” 😂

Just want to tell you I’m in Canada and I was able to get it without have to change my location to USA only changed language to English USA instead of English Canada 🍁

@ you need 16 pro max and running 18.1 software. Then go to settings siri and apple intelligence and change language to US English. Then go to settings general and then language and region and change preferred language to US English. Finally go back to Siri setting and it should have the option to enrol for apple intelligence

Correct. There is no need to change the region, just the language. My region is set to Saudi Arabia and is working fine.

I'm from the Czech Republic and I did it so that I created a new apple id with the choice of the region usa now the number you have to give some number that is not associated with any apple id the same applies to email I logged out of the appstor only I logged in under my "US" apple id (I have one apple id for the phone and one only for the appstor) in the phone I changed the language and the region to usa and apple intelligence works from now on

Switch from English (United Kingdom) to English (United States) and it works in the UK.

@ I did try that. It insisted that both locations are set to US. It didn’t seem to make any difference. Do I need to change both locations and then continue waiting?

I can’t get back in the settings now it’s updated. I had tried various combinations, but I believe in the successful one I only changed the language to United States and then waited for a few minutes. I’m probably going to try with my wife’s iPhone 15 Pro later. Mine’s a 16 Pro.

@@tomkemp9465 I've tried with the 15 Pro but, no joy, so it seems only the 16 Pro works (certainly in my case). With the 16 Pro, if I switch back to Language English (United Kingdom) it immediately cancels the Apple Intelligence and goes back to the "not available when set to English (United Kingdom) screen. If I then go back to Language English (United States) the Apple Intelligence immediate returns. 👍

I am in Romania I have iphone 11 pro setup to Romania I don’t have recording calls, I choose United states same No Recording Calls, other iPhone 15 have Recording Calls and is setup to Romania region so both are in ios 18.1! Had ip 11 pro 1.3gb, ip 15 1.68gb when I updated I don’t see many features in both iPhones just control center, photos, is missing many!

U didn’t need to change region just change the language under Siri settings 😊

It doesn't work when u have subscription running on your AppleID or money on your AppleID.. U can change what u want but it doesn't work. U need to delete your whole account make an new one and then put everything in English USA..
