How to enable DLSS 4 Override and Force in unsupported games

I got multiple requests in the comments so I decided to do a simple tutorial. The download links are in the description box. It should work on all games with DLSS 3.7 or older, but if a game was recently updated with DLSS 3.8 or DLSS 4 like Alan Wake 2 v1.2.8 the DLSSTweaks archive with nvngx.dll(renamed to winmm.dll) may not work for the K Preset files and you have to use the new DLSSTweaks archive with dxgi.dll (it doesn't have to be renamed) instead.

do i need to do all of this stuff for doom eternal / rdr2 (i have a 3080) or just working trough the nvidia app is enough

Think this should be said differently unsupported games are greyed out and no way to change .supported through this app u can change lolcause not all games can be changed at all lol by nvidia.

dlss 4 drops fps? so what is the good of that dlss?

It's made for 50 series not old 30 it works better on 40 as well and it drops the most with Ray Reconstruction enabled(especially on older 30 series the most) which has to be enabled wit RT. If it looks better of course it's also more demanding, but nobody has to use it you know.

The best benefit of DLSS 4 is(when it's officialy implemented e.g. CP 2077 and some other games) that the new Transformer looks the same or better in Performance mode, than the old DLSS 3 CNN model looks on Quality.

Yes, it works better with dxgi for updated games that have dlss 4 if you want the K Preset or some games it's just that in my experience some older games didn't work with the default nvngx file, and e.g. latest update Alan Wake 2 doesn't work for K preset with winmm I had to use the latest dxgi instead. The problem is that the nexus mod all of a sudden changed the file to dxgi on the day when I uploaded the video nvidia changed something or whatnot.

Do nvidia overdrive reg file need to be activated for each game? That is , I inserted the necessary files for conditionally Re 7, activated the reg file, then I wanted to change the dlss to ddr 2 , also inserted the files , I need to confirm the reg file again, right?

No, EnableNvidiaSigOverride.reg has to be activated just once it applies for all games.

I don't know but I wouldn't use it in Multiplayer games, cause it could get you banned for altering files(the DLSSTweaks part) even though it's not really a cheat.

Maybe, but I would strongly recommend not to do it for competitive MP games altering files even though it's not really a cheat could get you banned! (I mean the DLSSTWeaks part)

How is this Dlss 4 - the frames aren't jumping much at all

the difference is not in frames, but the model is different, that means that the quality is slightly different(should be better but I don't see the difference unless you look very closely)

DLSS4 and DLSS MFG are different things, blame Nvidia for their terrible naming schemes.

I didn't play PUBG for a long time now lol but if the NVIDIA App doesn't suport it I would strongly recommend not to use the DLLSTweaks in MP competitive games, cause you could get banned for altering game files even though it's not really a cheat.
