I give my players the option to end the campaign at the earliest point (within reason) so if they do get bored, they can simply hit the kill switch. I find if your players know that the end is always within reach, they enjoy the rest of the campaign a helluva lot more. For example, they know exactly where the final boss is. And it's weakness. But they've decided to keep on with all the sidetrack bs. (It helps that half of them have ADHD)

Dude, yes! Fantastic way to go about it. And as a fellow D&D nerd with violent ADHD, SAY IT LOUDER 📣

I make it a point to only plan the next game and once I feel things go south (typically 15 action packed sessions) I send the game to the great butterfly farm in the sky.

Great call. I think 15 - 20 sessions is a great sweet spot but I forgot to mention that in my manic episode

HOW MANY CAMPAIGNS HAVE YOU ACTUALLY FINISHED?! (be honest I'll know)
@EgoEroTergum9 ай бұрын
0. 😅😢😂 We've done battletech, we've done pathfinder, we've done dnd, gurps - all kind of stories and memories, but usually 1-3 sessions and the characters never got to a conclusion.

The only games I failed to end cleanly are the ones with preset win conditions like "Reach the Center of Eternity (it's not that far tbh, just like 5 floors of dungeon)" and start the flip which ends the universe and makes whoever comes through the portal gods of a new reality unless the decide to break the cycle in which case they get dumped outside of the pocket universe after fighting a avatar of nihilism in the form of a hell child standing in a endless red ankle-deep sea of life energy." And it was literally the same set up I used twice with two groups, both times it just died before I could get them to the ending. Every other game has died on my terms because I check pulse and wrap up next session before failure.

Just forget about prep and play a great hexcrawler!!! Drop the players in the middle of a map and let them decide where to go and what to do. 😃 Love the scissor mic! 😂

Hi my name's Jon and Tuesday is one of my days off and I feel attacked lol. Kidding. Cool video man. I thoroughly enjoyed the scissor mic holder. Also I've never finished a long term campaign lol. Longest one that finished was 5 months and that was me running play testing of my own game. Made sense to stop there though so it worked out.

Don't have babies & we won't have a problem. You have to make a choice... D&D or have a baby. I've choose D&D & always will. I refuse to lose D&D time to a crying, pooping, vomiting, & demanding baby. Priorities!
