Intermittent Fasting has been great for me. I started at 14:10 and am now at 16:8. Has really helped me control appetite, cut out sugars, increase water intake and am averaging 2lb a week weight loss. Thank you for discussing fruit, so many diets are against it because of the sugar but I will have a peach over a cookie any day. Thanks for the info and support. Love this and your app.

Okay Jillian you Totaline hit the nail on the head. For me sugar or eating sugar is more of a ritual thing to me then a mental thing. After a stressful week working at a crappy job dealing with crappy people every Friday or Saturday night I will get a pint of Ben & Jerry's and I will sit in my bed and watch Netflix and eat the entire thing. That said during the week I don't eat unhealthy food. I drink lots of water I don't drink sodas or juices or alcohol, I do not eat a lot of carbs, and I don't overeat as well. So to me having that one pint once a week after eating really good all week doesn't really seem that bad to me anyway. It's pretty much the only sugar I get all week long besides the creamer in my coffee

Good ideas, I liked the swap out method and the do something good for yourself instead of having the cake/cookie etc. I don’t feel like I have to eat a whole bag of cookies but I do feel like I have to have cookies and chocolate multiple times a day. I was busy doing housework today and realized that I hadn’t had any chocolate yet today and grabbed a square of dark chocolate ..and a chocolate truffle….I could have just had some semi sweet tea and sat down & enjoyed the tea…later I had 3 Oreo thin cookies too. I like fruit but the fruit I’ve got lately is just not ripe and tasty…mostly sour or tart…I’m having to consider canned fruit instead and I know that’s not good either!

I LOVE this - I finally get it why I just cannot stop. It’s awful. When I was a toddler, I would eat so much candy at my grandparents’ house that I’d throw up bile and have dry heaves from it. That’s why I fully believe that sugar is the real gateway drug. I just have such a hard time stopping. The only way I don’t eat a pint of ice cream is by putting it down the garbage disposal after a serving and it requires all my willpower to do it. I’ve been doing about a month now of no sugar. It’s just what I have to do. And allllll of your tips REALLY work. Sooooo grateful today for fresh organic strawberries!! Berries are my favorite go to. Anyway, thank you. I’ve never understood why I can’t just have 2 cookies…. So much shame!!! I get it. #sugarjunkie 💖💖

Monk Fruit sugar is the best substitute around. It's a completely natural calorie free substitute that tastes exactly like real cane sugar. The only con is it's a little more expensive so it's good for coffee or tea and the occasional baked product. Shop around to find the best deal because prices do vary a lot. Costco can have great prices but you need to keep a look out for it.

I stopped eating junk food years ago back in the 1980s and until 3 years ago I never had any junk food no sugars or added salts . Until I was posted at this sight and now when I go to work in my downtime and probably my 58yer old brain procrastinating a little with just one for now (I work security outside) I catch myself buying chips of Kit Kat and I told myself that switching to the Bounty coconut candy bar ( which is probably worse) that it's ok. Haven't had one candy car for all of those years of that other crap , now every time I go to work I grab one of each, sometimes more. I think for me, it has to do with the Downtime if I bring fruit or vegis to work I still sometimes end up buying from the vending machine indoors as I patrol past the Dam machine. But now when you buy something (started last week) the machine a creepy computer voice saying "thank you", so I am going to use that to help me stop eating that crap .

Before the hypnosis, I used to eat so many cookies and could never not finish a packet but now, to this day I don’t really eat cookies very often. If you are trying to curb certain cravings it will work. Afterwards, I taught myself to recognise when I’m hungry, think of food in abundance and kick the habit of feeling like I have to finish everything. When I've tried to quit I've got really bad headaches and nausea. Feel a bit trapped! I'm about 5 stone heavier than my ideal weight, and I'm sure a lot of it is down to the sugar I'm drinking! I'm 6' 2" tall and weight 185lbs. I do have a little belly fat because I did get carried away eating pineapple, pizza and sweets a few years ago. I got up to 198lbs then I just cut out the pineapple and stopped eating pizza then my weight dropped back down. I'm 42 years old so I'm starting to notice its a little easier to gain weight. I was around 140lbs 5 years ago due to not lifting weights much and working a lot then I got back into lifting weights and doing pull ups which got me back up to 185lbs. I was around 205lbs when I was 25 years old since I was lifting weights but when I was 18 years old I was 140lbs. My grandfather was 140lbs and 6'2" so its genetic for me to be skinny and tall. Also, I'd say what really got me fatter is putting an apple with pineapple into a Ninja blender with some apple juice. Its a lot of sugar.
