How to Engrave a 2" Leather Box on your Glowforge!

Hi not sure if you check these comments. But how did you know you would be able to engrave on that particular leather? I would like to engrave on some store bought leather belts but worried it will burn or set my machine on fire.

Hi lalachixie, Thanks for watching and thanks for the question. The way i knew that i could engrave on that particular leather was by doing a test engrave on the back side. I even thought of buying and extra box to use as a sacrificial piece just for testing before i started on the lot. If I am unsure... I test, test, test. I always start my test engrave at lower settings...and move up if it is not strong or dark enough. I hope this answer helps. Always test first. hope you have a great day... Rico

I cannot get the Glowforge to focus. I tried multiple times to focus and cleaned all the lenses. Still no luck. Any suggestions? I ordered a bunch of the boxes and now can’t engrave them! Help!
