You have to get past the social anxiety, but I think it’s important to treat yourself the way you deserve to be treated. Why wait for others to treat you?!

I’ve never had a problem! I’m always reading too, so I appear occupied. It helps to go on less busy days and go to bars in nicer restaurants, cafés, or quiet dives. I would not go to a nightclub or busy bar on a Saturday night lol

I know its tempting to buy from amazon, but i really encourage you to keep buying from bookstores if you can because it helps keep them open! unfortunately online corporations, like amazon, are the main reason bookstores are going out of business quickly nowadays. So if you can, please keep supporting barnes and noble. I know spending 15-20 dollars on a book is insane but I always just tell myself im helping B&N and i just smile through the pain LOL

I love spending time alone and going on little solo dates from time to time. Browsing bookstores is one of my favorite things. I would recommend, instead of buying from Amazon going to your local public library. Where you can read and check out books for “free”, and then buy the ones you really loved and would re-read again from a bookstore.

👻This is my first time watching your channel & it couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve been in a 3 year relationship & we went to an event at our local coffee shop that hosts vendors, which I love bc it’s been awhile since we’ve last gone. The previous time we went I was super anxious bc of how packed it was & today I just had the worst social anxiety that it ruined my night. We were only there for 30 minutes & the whole way home I was thinking how my relationship has caused me to become anxious. I’m in a healthy relationship, but I believe that I’ve become dependent on doing things with him that I don’t know how to interact with other people. I asked myself, “what does Estrella like? What does she want to do?” We do things as a couple, but sometimes I just want to be in my own world without him & truly connect with my energy. So, this video was sign to start connecting with myself more & face my anxiety, bc it is not who I am. So, thank you! 💫 I hope all my ladies who are in relationships connect with themselves & pour the whole damn water into their cup, so we can truly flourish. 🌻

Girl try thrifting books! Of course, it is not the same as the bookstore but you never know what treasures you will find. Another way is to get a library card. So, so cheap and comforting to go into a library and check out a book.

I know Amazon is cheaper but definitely keep trying to visit Barnes and Nobles or even better, your local book stores! Purchasing from them helps them stay in business and if you purchase from a local book store, you are putting money back into your community!

Amazon purposely lowers the price under the publishers price to cut out bookstores. Amazon loses money when you buy books from them, but they don't care because they want you to choose them over the bookstore. It's better for the authors if you buy from a bookstore or even get the books from the library. Libraries actually pay more for the books than regular bookstores so the author gets a higher royalty when libraries buy their books.

When I decide that I want to do a reading binge I go to Barnes and Noble for the experience and get 1 or 2 books and then I choose like another 2 but those I order online. That way I get the outdoor shopping experience and still save money, either way by the time I finish reading the book from Barnes and Noble the rest of the books have arrived.

This is all out of love, but please don’t tell people to always order from Amazon. We own a local bookstore, and that’s one of the main reasons there aren’t a lot of bookstores around anymore. Yes, it’s more expensive to support a bookstore, but like you said you’re able to walk around, look at the book before buying it and workers ask if you need help. If people only order from Amazon, you won’t be able to do that anymore.

I totally agree Amazon is way cheaper for books! However, I’ve heard rumors Barnes and Nobles may be closing since everyone is now buying from Amazon and they aren’t doing too well. That’s why their books are more expensive:(
