I've alwaysed liked to boost the midrange on the EQ. That's because I manly work with 80s 90s AOR music. It fits much better in that genre. If you listen to bands like Strangeways and Honeymoon Suite. A big chunk of the lower frequencies are cut off entirely. It's the midrange that does the trick.

Great vid. For really problematic essing, sometimes I run two instances of a de-esser/dynamic EQ to catch the midrange and the higher-range sibilance.

So I’ve been having an issue. My vocals sound great on all speakers besides my iPhone. Now I know iPhone speakers don’t sound amazing, but I hear other songs and they sound great. I’m getting the classic “telephony” sound which I’ve been trying to get rid of forever. It’s not overbearingly bad, but I just know it can be better. What can I do to make my vocals sound better on smaller speakers like my iPhone?

Sage would you know anything about installation of plugins hurting PC audio quality? I installed many plugins but after Tal Bassline the quality while I was mixing hindered. Thanks for the video I often find that I want to remove 1-2khz vocal range but I’m gonna try Side cut instead

It's possible! I've had a plugin with compatibility issues mess up my DAW's processing before, but it was mainly causing crashing! I'd say remove the plugin by deleting the file from your components and VST folders and see if your quality returns to normal. SageAudio.com

Hi I really need to enhance an audio rec to prove to police I'm not hearing things as it's just about audible and so harder to hear on rec.
