It should be fine. You could also use a regular pencil eraser and try that first. It is more gentle.

​@@Kingman422 Steel wool will absolutely scratch the living daylights out of shears! Don't do it! A lemon or lime and course salt would be safer.

leaving the scissors in a small container with freshly squeezed lemon juice over night , washing sponge to remove absolutely all the rust. Try.

I will try that, but I am a little worried about the acid. Please keep up with future videos. I have one I have not edited and posted about a product I found for soaking the blades.

@@potterdumb if the rust isn’t too bad, it works and there aren’t the scratches left behind like commercial rust erasers.
