You da' man! This was driving me nuts since I started with DMR. THANKS!

Its the little things that can make a huge difference sometimes.

You can do the same right from inside pi-star without going to BrandMeister. You just first need to add your BrandMeister API key to pi-star. After that you can do it right from your admin tab on the dashboard.

Thanks for that reminder Robert. Someone told me about that a few months back. I was having trouble with the Pi-Star software (unrelated issue), so I wasn't able to complete it. I do intend to go this route as it is more efficient...and the subject of a future video.

Is there a way to do this on a BAOFENG DM-1801?

What if I PTT on 91, for example, on a repeater to which I don't have access to the BM dashboard. How do I disconnect the connection to 91 without waiting for the timeout? Can I not just key up on 4000? If so, can I do the same on the hotspot without needing to login to the BM Dashboard? What's the significance of keying up on 4000 after you've already disconnected via the dashboard? Do you have a button programmed to key up on 4000? Sorry for so many questions. I'm still learning.

Welcome to the confusing world of DMR @ChuckRowe. I share what I know about DMR, not what I don't. Unfortunately the latter is a much larger category. Any questions on DMR repeaters I can't answer from experience, as I don't have one I can hit; everything I do is through a hotspot. The one question I can answer for sure is, yes, I do have a button programmed for 4000. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnfRnH-fnMSEsM0

HELP......

I would reach out to BridgeCom for help with their SkyBridge. There are also multiple Facebook groups that focus on hotspots -- you could search their content, or actually post you issue to see if someone has a solution.

Thanks for the tip, but how are you getting you Skybridge to say "Not Linked"? Mark KB3Z
@markgriffin22852 жыл бұрын
Bob, I tried it and wouldn't you know it, I did get the "Not Linked". I guess that answers that question.

Hi HOA HAM, Do the Brandmeister tgps work on any DMR repeater?
@HOAHamRadio3 жыл бұрын
I don't know if I could say 100%, but that is how it is intended to be. A DMR repeater should allow you access to all DMR talkgroups.... Of course, the XYL laughs at me when I say how things that are not working, "should" work. Hopefully others see the question and comment and redirect if needed.

@@HOAHamRadio well I have programmed a few on a local DMR repeater if I get a hit ill let you know

@@CinematicTouchProductions Keep me updated. I don't have any DMR repeaters near me, so I'm going through a hotspot.

How can I do this if I'm using a repeater instead of a hot spot?
@HOAHamRadio Жыл бұрын
Exact same process I think. I don't have a DMR repeater near me to hit and try, but it should work just the same.

I need to know the adapter you have for the antenna. It fits so flush!
@HOAHamRadio2 жыл бұрын
The silver directly against the radio is a SMA female to BNC female adapter, Amazon affiliate link: amzn.to/39ontZ1 and then the black section about 5/8" tall is the base of a Signal Stuff signal stick, great antennas, the clear / white section is the continuation of that antenna, then the green is the actual antenna. They come in many colors and they are nearly indestructible. Here is their link: signalstuff.com/product/super-elastic-signal-stick-bnc/ Check out this video and you will bet a closer look at the antenna, watch at the 4:09 mark: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZzPlGecfcqgaNU I bend it into a circle as well as attach it to the BNC adapter on my Anytone 878

Gerry, there are plenty of them out there. Glad they have a way to communicate to the world, and glad I have a way to disconnect when I need to.
