Thanks for this! Was better instruction than Bridgecoms!

Thanks Dan H. I've been spending most of my time on HF lately. Gotta get back to my DMR HT's and start doing more tips.

@@HOAHamRadio could you take a look at the video I posted? I'm not getting very far with support. It's the only Anytone video published on my channel.

@@danno02 Sorry I missed this comment. Hope you’ve found your answer. It has been a long while since I’ve used the scan on my 878, so I’m not familiar with the feature, or what may be happening in your case. There are a couple of 878 user groups on Facebook, if you can tolerate Facebook, where answers are plentiful.

Fun key +0 is a good option also. Some of the long press options don’t work depending on what the short press option is. Thanks for the video.

Thanks BTO106; I think I'll give that a try. Appreciate you sharing.

This was very helpful for a new HAM with the AnyTone 878uv II Plus. It worked great but I don’t get the confirmation back that I’m disconnected. Same thing when I parrot….the radio shows I’m successfully pinging the local DMR repeater but I’m not getting the parrot or disconnect feedback. Any thoughts what I’m doing wrong?
@HOAHamRadio Жыл бұрын
06Barcafan, digital is changing all the time, so I wouldn't assume you are doing anything wrong. I work with a hotspot since I don't have local repeaters with DMR. Not sure what to suggest; wish I could be more helpful.

Does this work while someone on that talk group is talking? Or do you have to wait until there is an "opening?
@HOAHamRadio Жыл бұрын
Have to wait for an opening....

Each DMR repeater is on a different frequency. So I assume I would have to do a 4000 hot key for each repeater?
@HOAHamRadioАй бұрын
...that would seem right since you have to key up on the correct frequency.... The way I did it it worked accross multiple Talkgroups because I was on a hotspot with the same frequency.

You are correct, I could not use P2, but PF2 seems to work fine. BTW, I also live in an HOA. My software version is 1.24. 73, KJ7YBK.
@HOAHamRadio3 жыл бұрын
Weird the P2 doesn't work....but we find ways don't we. Lots of videos to come on dealing with the dreaded HOA, I've gotten pretty creative and look forward to sharing..

It seemed unclear if this sets the 'hot key' to disconnect any TG that I'm in, or only the TG identified by the TG name. Since I use several TGs for different organizations, I might have to reprogram one 'hot key' for each TG, sacrificing the other 'hot key' functions that I use regularly (but came pre-programed).
@HOAHamRadio Жыл бұрын
This will disconnect ANY, I.E., every talkgroup. You do not need to add a hot key for each group; this covers all.

Sarah, do you have TG400 as a contact? Are you using an AnyTone and the CSP software? Let me know via email at theHOAHam@gmail.com and I will see if I can help you out.

I have Alinco DJ-MD5X!
@HOAHamRadio2 жыл бұрын
Can you create a hot key to disconnect the Alinco DJ-MD5X? I've not owned the Alinco, but it looks like a nice compact HT.
