I'm Yup'ik but live all the way in Tennessee and have been working hard to reconnect with my heritage. Do you have a video about how to make these drums or do you have a recommendation for instructions on making one? I would love to learn how to drum and your video was very helpful to start.

Hi I am looking for a drum exactly like this to replace a drum I have been using since 2003. Do you know anyone who sells them? I am interested in the thinner frame for lightness. Thank you so much - Deborah

Waqaa! I am wondering where to find the airplane fabric. I was about to buy animal hide but I'd prefer to have the proper/usual materials if I could. Searching for "airplane fabric" is not pulling up the results for me. Any help? Quyana

@@russellsnyder5630 I'm not in Alaska at all; I'm suffering as a transplant in Texas 🤪. I'm trying to build a drum with my kids for winter solstice but needing to source materials from online or local in Texas. What can you recommend for material? Substitute a cow hide? Just cotton? Other hide? Quyana

@@EliseLouiseMaynor never heard of cow hide but i have heard of goat skin but you must keep very very good care of it making sure its wet at all times, especially if you have a thicker skin. you want thin to medium thickness on the goat skin. the airplane fabric is known as ceconite much more common today. you will also need to coat it in poly urethane. not many tutorials but i heard the community of kuiggluk or kwethluk as its known today has a video up
