Congratulations on getting the clear! Yosuke produces less slowdown than the other two characters because of the amount of bullets he fires. I don't think is too hard to get to the last boss, but killing her is like 70% of the clear, even in the ps4 her challenges are divided by her phases. Because it's not that difficult to get to the last boss it makes you think you are really close to the clear when you really aren't. Be sure to practice the stage 5 enough before trying 1cc the game or you will lose a lot of time. Unless you are really good fighting Garra you can only afford losing 2 lives before getting to her. In the last pattern of Garra you can guess how big her purple hands attack will be according on how much she had moved before the attack. She can cover almost the entire screen with it. I hope that can help someone. Cheers

very late to this but: your hitbox doesn't actually drift, the character animation just always makes it seem like it does. consider it more like: your hitbox is what you're controlling, and the character's full frame (extends a bit in either direction for when they tilt side to side) is centered on that, even when their torso shifts. once you start to see it more like that, it makes more sense i think. each character has a different amount of lean, but the hitbox will still be what you control. so it may seem variable from character to character as well (and i think this is why m2 opted to make the new character more visually stable), it's the same idea across the board.
@TheElectricUnderground2 жыл бұрын
Ahh interesting way to look at it!

I was going to say this but, thank god someone else was able to point this out. Obviously the hit box doesn’t “drift”, you can see it doesn’t. It’s really quite a stupid thing to say I’m afraid. Sorry but almost every one of TEU’s videos has misinformation like this where he just comes up with his own opinion of what is going on in the games, where this is both wrong and well known to be.
@RICHUNCLEPENNYBAGS772 жыл бұрын
@@tomstreethello But the hitbox is not staying in the same place relative to the sprite, right? It's still confusing.

Also Irori's Room has a specific mission where you try to get the extend, and in Arcade Challenge you can just pick Stage 4 Area 1. Switch to Sparta Training and intentionally die right as the 1up train shows up - it'll then put you in a training mode so you can repeat it three times. I would not advise resetting if you miss the extend, don't fall for restart syndrome lmao. I would say just try to make the best of the run so you can get in more practice of the game. Even a failed run can be valuable experience.

You made me buy this. The first time I spent $85 for a standard release of a game (technically more since tax and shipping but don’t remind me) for people complaining for $70 next gen games, I think we have it more rough. Though I’m pretty sure it’s because nobody buys them so they price it accordingly to at least get by. Can’t wait to play it, might pick up an 8bitdo arcade stick too, not the best stick but around mid tier from what I hear, kind of like my level of dedication to fighting games, shmups, beat em ups, etc
@TheElectricUnderground3 жыл бұрын
Oh that s awesome!!! So I need to make a vid on how to get the digital release Because it s much cheaper (50 I believe). Also check out this vid for putting together an affordable stick: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWLEepWMetydodU
@Mingodough3 жыл бұрын
I looked at that video, 50 definitely cheaper than a 90 arcade stick. But 8bitdo’s new one is wireless and people don’t feel that much, if any lag on it. And wires are always a bit annoying so that has me considering a that higher price a bit more. As for the lag thing, I’m not sure if they properly tested it or not, but there is a wired option if it’s not as good as they say

It's interesting learning about the various kind of tricks you had to learn for a 1cc. Or, you mention the way your hitbox sways backwards when you move or having to understand the variable slowdown with Yaksa's red lines. Thanks for making this video. I'm already pretty close to a 1cc so hopefully, some of these tips will push me to get it. I always did the shortest bomb possible so I'll change that first. I've done a lot of practice on the 4th boss and the problem with the pattern where you bombed for me is that even if you direct it so that you can dodge the pattern, you have then not done enough damage to the boss so you have to face the final pattern for longer where you would probably have to bomb or die anyway. Lots of small bullets combined with the hitbox being pretty unforgiving compared to other Cave games is definitely a big block for me.

Oh that s cool! Yeah I think in this game the bomb risk reward calc is important. So I d charge bomb that pattern if you have the respurces

this kinda educate me. i want to share my thought about this tutorial(sorry if i called tutorial lol XD). before that this is my experience on Esp.Ra.De so..im MAME player cuz i don't have ps4 to play the plus version. and i have play all characters and try to attempt casual 1CC training (if failed, im attempt to learn the stratergy afterwards and try to not getting hit) from those 3 characters JB was successfully bring me more further and died in the middle stage 5. yusuke ended up in early stage 5 and Iori ended up in stage 4. tbh stage 4 was cut out my no miss run. and i think this is the part that i actually comment in your tutorial. tbh. you're right. the hitbox are ridiculous in ESPRaDe, since there's no hitbox, it makes me more struggling to dodging bullet. now im understand how this game hitbox work thanks to realize that thing and mention it on your tutorial. ummm i might not understand how the stage 4 extend bonus work with the stage that showing train station thing, i've no idea how that can be relate. as far i play, im only got 1 extend in stage 4. there's maybe something i don't know yet back in that day. and the stage 5 was lunatic version to me. im barely read and dodge all of the enemie's bullet pattern, and yes. big enemy there are kinda like bullet sponge and i hate that thing XD. And i was not thinking the stratergy of stage 5 midboss. doing turn around stuff like that. when i was there im just thinking dodge,dodge. cause im afraid if im going to the top of the screen the bullet will quickly reach my hitbox. and it also the same with after midboss maid enemy. i was thinking dodging without turn around stuff. the final boss however are too hard and it takes 3 credit to me. the hard part is her 2-4th bullert pattern. the final one was kinda tricky but easy to understand. and im realize that too before. i might try that tutorial on my MAME ESPRaDe run. and hoprfully it help me a lot there!. Good video btw. need more tutorial guide of cave games like this!

oh also. in case someone don't know. i forgot to mention that first stage selection is ordered by character selection. yusuke got school stage, JB got mall casino stage, and Iori got bay stage. not ordered by button. (tbh idk what ps4 version does but. in arcade that's how it select the first stage.)
