Thank you for this video, I had cervical surgery ADCF on levels c3/c4 & c4/c5. After this procedure i was suffering pain as one might imagine, I have had spinal problems since 2013 and had a previous ADCF on level c5/c6. Because of my long standing pain history I have been on many opioids and was given ketamine after this latest procedure because of my tolerance to meds, I complained of head aches and arm aches plus blurred vision post op both a new symptom. They removed the ketamine because they thought this was to be the cause, A neurologist gave me a very brief examination and said I had a stroke during my surgery. I had many different doctors including my spinal team and I heard the phrase Horners. After 2 ct & 2 mri scans with each having a contrast on 1 scan. I was then told I have horners syndrome which I have never heard of, I’m still suffering from eye issues but the strangest thing is non sweating on the affected side. They think the cause was pressure from the tool which opened my neck, I had a cage fitted in the procedure. All the videos are good to watch as no one I know has heard of Horners.

I got Horner's decease when i was 3 months old because of complications from an operation near my sympathetic nervous system. Some nerves needed to be cut. I still got a huge scar on my back. My left eye has a very small pupil and has the colors grey, blue, light green and brown in it. My eyelid also lazy. My right eye is darker and has brown on the outside and green in the center. The left side of my face doesn't sweat, same deal with my left hand and most of my arm. My right arm is always either hot or cold, it's not controlled. My right hand is always sweating, the opposite of my left hand. It's not always easy to deal with it but i'm used to it so it's okay :) Also: people love my eyes :p

I was diagnosed with Horners Syndrome when I was 23 years old. I am now 40 years old. We are together on this. I am dealing with the same problems you face but am ok with it.

I was born with Horners but didn't know this was what it was till I saw an eye specialist with a view to having an operation on my droopy eyelid. This was done because when I got tired it drooped even lower and affected my seeing properly.

Okay, I'm 18 and have a drooping right eyelid and my right pupil is also smaller than my left pupil. I almost completely lack facial sweat on my right side and have occasional spontaneous shock like pains on my right lower neck. I have frequent right eyelid spasms as well. Would you say this is a Corroded Dissection? Is the taser-like pain in my neck something else?

both are valid, but miosis is the more commonly used term, while meiosis is the term for sexual reproduction in eukaryotes.

Hey Sam, just wondering will you be uploading more eye-related videos soon? I'm finding these extremely useful and allows me to have a better understanding of the eye. I'm in my 3rd year course of Optometry - so if you upload videos regarding examination techniques, anatomy of the visual system, diseases and therapeutics - I'll be so thankful! And I've subscribed!

Not realy true... You should never use information from one video. Especially an unreliable KZbin video. That's just dumb

Will it ever go away? Could I have gotten this (had for a few weeks) because of carrying heaving equipment back on my shoulder close to my neck? Mine is on my right side and I am female.

Do you have Horner's Syndrome? Do you experience health-problems with this Syndrome? There is a group of patients who is exchanging experiences, searching for possible causes and treatments. Unfortunately 'links' can not be entered here. There is a Facebook-group where you can exchange your experiences with these syndromes in private surroundings. This group has the name " Ross, Harlequin, Holmes-Adie and Horner's Syndrome " ..

Ok, I have Horner's sindrome too and my advice is go to see your doctor right away, we all need to be sure that we do not have something in our lungs, head or neck, we need x rays and MRI.
