I did something similar. I bought 4 - 50ah Power Queen batteries . 51.2V in Series, it charges my Ecoflow Delta 2 at 500 watts.

Thanks for this. I've done the 12/24 step up converter and ran a Bestek 300w pure sine inverter connected to the ac brick. Another way is to get a AC200p 400w ac brick with a higher watt inverter to the EB150 port. The EB150/240 are great machines, too bad Bluetti discontinued them.

Yeah this is way better than investing $2,100 for a 4kwh battery expansion for my ecoflow delta pro 3 when I found a steal from ecoworthy selling 2 12v 280ah batteries for $760 giving an overall total of 6,720Wah. 1/3 the price at almost triple the capacity but my confusion is if a battery charger can charge the two batteries simultaneously in series or do they have to be charged individually?

THANK YOU! I was considering doing something similar using 2x 50AH 12V batteries hooked up to a Bluetti EB3A exactly like that. I was considering the Redodo 50AH 12V ($170), two of which fit perfectly inside a Milk Crate box topped off with a plywood cap the EB3A would sit on (I don't like messy wire setups).

I would say this is great for emergency situations or just to prolong the use of the power station without paying the high price for the units with expandable batteries. For this model I would recommend 4 batteries in series to max out the charging input around 48 to 52 volts since this model can take up to 60 volts and up to 10 amps charging. It would work great at night when solar is not available or you can have a good size solar charger and solar panel set charging the batteries while charging the power station and running something like a window unit for longer run times.

@jw3843
@jw3843 7 ай бұрын
@@john-j7e7e All you have to do is use the batteries as solar input to the power station which will charge the power station like solar would. The older version of bluetti ones only take dc input. The easy way would be to use the solar charging cable, connect them to the batteries and use the charging plug for the power station. You can still have the batteries connected to a solar charge controller during the day. If used for this purpose you would not need to have an inverter separate from the power station. Of course, if you have the batteries set up for 48 volts, then you would need a solar charge controller made for 48 volt batteries.

I have the 240 and went with the B300 and have 800 watts of solar running the system - my concern is leaving the inverter on 24/7 to run the fridge. We will see how this goes - I can't protect the 240/B300 - the temps in the cabin run 14F to 125F - let the games begins. Like your set up and would likely do similar later but with an inverter not a solgen and use my solar, or new solar. I like the panels are getting smaller but more powerful too - don't have the real estate to cover with panels right now. So less being more is nice. Costs are leveling off for the short term, so I best bite soon.

@uhjyuff2095
@uhjyuff2095 Жыл бұрын
if using solar to charge all the batteries you would need another solar charge controller for the external batteries and might as well get a few more panels too. So you need more batteries, more chargers, more wires, and more panels. So its like you just need two complete solar generators minus the second inverter.

Do not try this with a Jackery. The Jackery reads that its charging off of Car and doesn't allow more than 100watts even using both inputs but allows 400watts solar. It shows a Car charger icon and has solar icon which i guess would allow more and cant find a work around. My 1000 V2 is 35 days old and can't return so its going up for sale. Also means you cant use a charger1 or Pecron Smart C which was the goal.

Although this is ok, The big problem is when wired in Series you only have 1280wh and it remains at 100AH in a perfect world, and the EB150 is equal to117.18Ah which means the Batteries do not have enough Wh to fully charge the EB150, So you need the batteries wired in parallele and use a stepup transformer to turn 12v in to 24v in order to have 2560wh @ 24v otherwise the batteries 12v output is not enough to charge any of the EB Series Bluetti/PowerOak Sogens that have a minimum input voltage of 16V, Hope that helps..

@@MrCharmz81 Thank you brother... Yes! I have a 4,000 watt 5,000 peak gas generator... I actually plan on installing a propane converter because Propane is non-perishable so in a SHTF episode or, just to charge my batteries it's indeed much more efficient over using my lipo life cycles... I have two 200ah Power Queens with the Victron setup... The funny thing with the charge controller is that you can charge your batteries, and if they are full, you can hook up an inverter to absorb the excess power into your power Station, instead of depleting your life cycles... Or, in my case, I have the actual panels that are compatible with my Power Station, and I use it for both systems... I will be making a video soon so you should subscribe, I can show you my process in detail...
