I like mixing timber with stone. Gives a rustic look. Come to my settlement some time. Rojara-Dulp base. Its a little rough but I've been trying different things. Will welcome any advice you have to dress it up 😊

So, they finally fixed the snapping for the landing pads on walls then? On day 1 after the update, that was impossible.I wonder if they snap on door walls too. Awesome techniques, it's really interesting to see how people are being creative with the removal of restrictions for snapping structures whatever they want now as long as you're smart with it XD

It's kinda hard to be typing this while smashing my forehead into the desk but, well hey... Put small walls next to the stairs and put slopping walls on top of them to make slopping railings for the stairs. It's so obvious after seeing it. Railings going up all over the place (as soon as I get home from work - its been dead this past week).

The idea of building on your landing pad is great but only using square wood panels? that's a little plain when you could have done so much more. You could use different material or color for the center or the edge of the pad, make a circle in the middle with triangles, have the middle a little elevated using the small half wall you use for ramps, etc. But maybe am jumping the gun here and it's coming in future episodes?

1:25 I can't get the rails to snap in the right direction. They prefer to go in the opposite direction of the stairs. Only managed to do it a few times. Still a great design tho!

Delete the Small Timber Wall and Rotate it before placing it. If that still doesn't work, remove the Stairs (you can place them back in later).That should fix the problem.

Connecting these stairs is royal pain the ass no matter what I do it wants to connect them underneath instead of on top. I really hate the way they designed base building in this game. It so sloppy and after all these years you think they make it easier.

I have the same problem right now, I think they changed something in the game, it won't snap at all now at the bottom, only at the top.

You probably don't want to know this now but use small timber wall B, put it across bottom of the stairs and then put the 2 timber wall A each side, that seems to work for me right now.

This technique is shit. The building isn't locked in correctly so you will end up having invisibles walls inside, and areas will tell you that you're not in your base. Fucking awful.
