Yes, we saved quite a bit on this project. Recycled cabinet, recycled pulls, DIY paint, other side of waterfall, picking our own stone slabs and of course…labor.

Hi Ron! I wanted to comment on the patio video Sharon posted and your grill/smoker. Your grill is all seasoned on the inside from cooking all kinds of meat but the outside has seen better days. If you sand it down then spray paint it black and a sealer it will look brand new. Your upgrade grill pros gas one will be an addition to the charcoal one. How about building a canopy for shade over the grill, I’m just saying. I love you Sharon & Ron, thanks for sharing.❤️

For the island, I used an existing cabinet that was relocated. I built the pantry from scratch and the extra cabinets were stock from Home Depot (oak veneered).

They were around $60 per square foot. Not too bad. Cheaper than the big box stores giving the same quality of stone.

I dont think my island is being done properly. the stone is not glued on the sides to any material in particular there is a gap between the cabinet and where the waterfall island meets
