I don't have an Appletv just a smartv with option for appletv app. Is it possible to connect a facetime call from my iphone if a purchase subscription to appletv on my smarttv. Thank you.

Hello there. There are 2 different things that Apple TV describes. Apple TV+ which is a streaming service. Then there is an Apple TV box that is like a Roku streaming box. To be able to use the FaceTime app like I showed in the video you need an Apple TV box not the streaming service. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

@ Ok. So if I understand correctly, the box is compatible with my smart tv and I can facetime on the tv. It is a onetime fee for the box only? I don't subscribe to a cable service as I'm not a tv watcher per se. Nor do I have an external antenna. Therefore the only advantage of the apple box would be facetime? @@MarieG-yr8yr Yes the box is a one time fee. You can buy them most places tech is sold, amazon, Apple Store, Best Buy. Rumor has it they are going to be releasing an updated one this year sometime that may bring new features. Who knows, it has been many years since their last upgrade. It plugs into your tv via HDMI and then gives you a smart tv like experience. You can FaceTime on it, download games or apps and you can also mirror your phone, Mac or iPad screen to it. You can also get apps like Hulu, Netflix or others if you want to get those services. Hope that helps.
