I was regularly pausing to try do what you were about to do before you did it so i could check if I were right. Circa 1.27 timestamp you wrote +960. However, if I understood in the right the calculation was 4*12*-20 which is -960 not positive 960? Please can you advise?

If it's the opposing signs, then always subtract the number with (-) from the number with (+). If they are the same sign, add both the numbers and then put the sign. For example : -1-31 = -(31+1) = -32. Hope you get it.

You could do it by grouping too if you use 16x -15x to substitute the middle term 1x
