You are right Tootsie - I am ashamed to say I have only recently [in the last year and I am almost 56] started to think seriously about sunscreen and now wear it everyday sunny or not as we still need it. A few dermatologists and other skin care experts I follow have emphasised - no matter what you are doing with great skin care, retinols, vit. C etc. you may as well throw your money away if you are not religiously using sun screen - spf 50 or 35 at least. This is now [at last] a vital part of my regime and holidays lying in the sun are no longer an option [for me].

Yes Mam, I did. I am now using the dry shampoo and the combs in my thinning aging hair and I love it. I even got some erase for the circles under my eyes. I started using mascara when I was in the 6th grade, adding more stuff until I stopped when I quit teaching. So it's been 50 years bare faced. I am 88 and keep busy out and about like you. You have influenced me to start doing makeup more. I have gotten a bunch of new stuff that I have seen you use. Not sure I am as good getting the look I want yet but I am working on it. I did see that some things I had always used needed to go. Powder or matte types settled in the wrinkles and didn’t begin to cover my spots etc. Going out in public having put makeup on does make me feel a bit special and really lifts my whole mood. It puts a smile on my face to know I look pretty good for an old gal. I loved seeing you out in the garden in the colorful full long pants. I now have two pair Nanny! Watching your hair tutorial was fun. Since Covid I have stopped coloring my hair and am naturally grey. I am keeping it shorter so not much to tie up or back but loved seeing you demonstrate so many tricks. I’ve been doing it more this summer, and it’s been fun, because it’s an area I always enjoyed as a teen and younger person. Decided to adopt some of it again. New subscriber Here. I was intrigued by your hair updo video, as my hair at age 76 is less voluptuous than I'd like. I was able to order the 2 large side combs, but the longer-toothed comb was not to be found. So in experimenting, I discovered something useful about using the 2 combs together to create a French twist that has oomph and also stays put. Here's how: Lightly tease hair if desired. Hold all hair together in back like you would to make a pony tail. Twist it a bit and then place a vertical row of bobby pins in about the middle back. Slide one comb vertically underneath the row of pins. Next, twist the hair into a high ropey shape. If needed, fold the upper part down under the lower part. Now, create the French twist shape, and insert the second comb vertically into the side of your French twist, parallel to and directly under the first comb, The first comb is now hidden, but offers some boost to your style. What I did next was took note of the hair around my face that either fell out of the twist or was too flat. Some of it, I pinned back, some I tugged on to make it fuller. I made sure to leave some tendrils out to frame the face. I got compliments at church today. When I got home, I took a nap, and was surprised that afterward, the "do" is still looking great. It is comfy, too. Take care. I'll be watching.

Thanks for the jokes, Moose! Descartes and I were at a cocktail party. We were listening to our host make a speech. I leaned over and whispered to Descartes should we start eating the hors d'ouvres that had been set out on the table. He shook his head as he wrote a reply on his napkin, "I think they're for 1 am".

I loved the "Glow" tips. You are a Strengthening Inspiration! I dealt with 2 years of recurrent bladder infections and numerous antiibiotics to get rid of them....and a nurse had given this information that we heard.....500 mgs of cranberry extract capsules twice a day can prevent these infections and lots of water also. I use more of the extract when I start having symptoms.(..just wanted to pass this on to you( if it is useful and doesn't interract with any other meds you take) It has been so helpful to me . I "got " Moosies joke and he" Does look like a professor."..minus the pipe! Smoking isn't healthy anyway! :)

I really love that you use all stick products and dewy finishes with no powder! On days I don't want to wear makeup but need to cover redness I only use stick concealer with a beauty blender and it looks very natural. Powder needs a good setting spray to make it look more natural but that's why I love all cream looks like this for a natural glowy look! You look gorgeous!
