I struggle a lot at closing games when I'm ahead, I often group when I shouldn't and end up throwing a game that was already won at 20 mins
@Coolrocksta3 жыл бұрын
i think if you are struggling finishing games you need to learn how to set up baron and (hope) that your team helps you with what you think is the correct play. I would play a little like this: I'll go mid, kill the enemies there, then rotate to the jungle and get deep wards. Then i will go base, buy pinkwards and clear vision (again). After that i decide if it's better to: 1. push the wave (so you can do baron). 2. camp (in a bush) to kill the enemies or 3. start baron. (you may need to turn, so it's best to think about that in advance) i personally would default to camping, or pushing when you know where every threat is. (the concept of turning is something i have learned from xFSN Saber, he said it's important to have a play in mind you can do when the enemies come for example if 5 enemies come to steal baron, you as a kaisa should not go and poke the enemies and expect them to die, but if you play something like a jinx a good turn could be you place your e and 3 people walk into it at a choke point and then your team hard engages. Turns are usually enabled by hard cc, and if you land that cc your team has to follow very fast).
@i4m3rr0r3 жыл бұрын
Do baron calls. When your team gets 2 kills or kills the jungle and forces some backports, you spam ping that baron. Your teammates will probably try to go for more kills or half a turret, but you need to convince them that baron is the right thing. Then you don't throw away the baron by fighting and instead let the minions do their job. Baron is a minion buff and it's the best tool in the game for getting towers, which will ultimately win you the game.

I've played for almost 3 years maining adc. What I've found out while playing is that I find it extremely difficult to be influencial on the map at all during the first 30 minutes of the game if I don't get fed on lane. True it is the one role where not dying is the most important. Also true because you must outplay 2 people on lane alone if your support is not amazing while keeping a decent farm 8+ CS/Min regardless of the enemy champs. Farm is the only resource that will get you somewhere if you havent got kills.

My answer to this is that you need to get more farmed, and have more wave control. This will translate into you beign more powerful and thereby you haivng more agency

QOTD: Through your guides specifically I've actually grown to where laning phase is drastically easier for me when I play ADC, I used to struggle so much with that but its rarely an issue anymore. Recently I've struggled the most on ADC in the mid game: I pretty regularly go 2/0 or better in laning phase, only to die to a fed assassin with seemingly no outplay 4 times in a row after 15 minutes. I HATE making excuses for my play, so I say "seemingly" no outplay on purpose: If players can do it in challenger against better players, I know its possible to survive mid game and make impactful macro choices. But its an honest answer to the question; I'm not sure what to do when I am fed on adc while the enemy team is targeting me and my team is not defending me. I actually feel like I have an EASIER time winning games when I lose lane phase, because my opponents rarely know how to punish my freezes and I catch up and surprise them with my damage in the late game, versus when I'm fed I feel like target #1. This is by far the hardest thing for me; I went on a 10 game lose streak in which I think 9 of those games I won lane with at least 3 or 4 kills. How can I fix this? I am also very open to feedback in the comment replies here too, not just from Skillcapped

Can you please make a guide on team fighting/skirmishing as an adc? Timing when you can auto and when you have to sit 300 meters back is really difficult for me
@Coolrocksta3 жыл бұрын
I think this could help you, think about these things: 1. can you do something? 2. can the enemy/enemies do something to you? 3. What do you want to achieve? 1.What you can do depends on 2 things: 1.1 Which ability does meanigful damage (in the curret situation ingame)? - for example: most adcs have pretty easy damage patterns here a few adcs as example (but keep in mind how you do damage will change over the course of the game) - Kaisa: Q when no minions are close, or Passive (both good early damage). - Very important: the "basic Q" will fall of very fast so in the midgame having no upgraded Q means you have no dmg - Caitlyn: Q(earlygame) and Headshot (Early - Lategame) 1.2 Which ability has meanigful cc (in the curret situation ingame)? - This is a little easier to understand: - For example in a teamfight you are an Ashe vs an very tanky team, your damagle is almost 0, but your r can cc the carry on the enemy which can result in your team killing him. - That means, if you don't have those abilities which can cc. Then you should not go in. 2. What the enemies can do depends on same 2 things. - but the sad truth is, as an adc you can almost never do something while the enemies you are fighting almost always can. 3. There are many things you may want to achieve, like saving a teammate, dealing damage in a teamfight, surviving a teamfight. But they are directly linked with #1.1 and #1.2 if you want to save your teammate you need the damage or the cc to do so, meaning if you don't have any of them then you can't help. The same is true if you can't survive you can't help. So to answer your Question: (best is you check these 3 requirements, then you will know if you can autoattack or not) 1. Do you know where everyone is / where the threats are? 2. Can you Do what you want to Achieve? (know your dmg/cc) 3. Which abilities do you have to dodge? / are they dodgeable (with your Items/Skills/Reflexes)? (for example i have heard a Pro talk about Kayn, that his dmg comes from w, meaning if you can't dodge it you can't fight if he has it)(I personally can't dodge it, but i could dodge Malphite Ult with Flash) I hope this helped, for better explanation look at this channel (here i got the concepts from) xFSN Saber

This is one of the hardest but most important things to learn, since you need to be good at keeping check on multiple things at once. When I die in teamfights it is mostly because of greed, tunnlevision or entering a lost fight. You have to keep in mind what abilities the enemies have, their cds and if they have been used. Then draw a imaginary circle (by choaches called "circle of influence") around the enemies based on their max ability range and keep note of where you should stand. Of course certain abilties are more forgiving to be hit by than others, especially non-cc ones. But obviously if a champ like annie or malz has ult you should never be in ult range, unless he gets ccd and you are confident that he can be bursted before he gets a chance. The circle will change depending on what abilities they have used. Exampel: If alistar has used his w his circle is a lot smaller allowing you to step forward before it comes back up.

The jihn’s mistake wasn’t going bot to farm. It’s an acceptable choice considering he is quite behind and needs farming. The incorrect choice he made is going straight to mid thorugh the jungle after to join a lost fight. His team lost the teamfight but wasn’t aced, and the enemy team cannot push to get his team’s inhibitor tower (they have no big wave either), so he could just take the long way around to mid, wait for the wave to come in and farm safely under tower. He instead gone through a choke point and got killed by Gnar, missing all the farm he could have had.

@Kalanin3993 жыл бұрын
@@CasuallyRekt Best advice in understanding win conditions is that it'll vary game to game depending on how it goes, but you can generally simplify it based on your experience and how the match is going. Win conditions are kind of iffy because sometimes the problem is not something your team comp can match. For example: If my team comp is Ezreal/Bard/Twisted Fate/Lee Sin/Shen, and I'm against Cait/Morgana/Anivia/Xin Zhao/Riven , no amount of grouping mid and shoving waves is going to win us the game outside a full 5v5 fight, and that won't matter if Anivia or Morgana survive the fight and get away, because they can both stall sieges on towers as long as they have mana. It doesn't matter if you're super fed if Anivia can kill all the minions with her ult and sit out of range. The best advice I could give is to try to simplify the problem by asking a few questions based on your comps and matchups. Having a general idea of those factors can help you immensely in identifying your win conditions assuming the game is relatively even. Ask who wins the fight, what does your team want to do (do you want to pick off people, split push, force fights or counter engages), and what the enemy wants. There isn't a single win condition, especially in high elo. What's typically happening in higher elo is small advantages are being taken advantage of with better tempo or better vision control. When you go to a lane or rotate for objectives, ask what you get out of it. Is your team going to get another objective on the map? Do you get anything from going, or will you lose something instead? Are you even needed there? Always ask what would make the fights favorable and what you're doing favorable to you. Having good macro sense will allow you to better identify your win conditions because it'll be easier to set up winning fights or set up favorable conditions. There are times where you'll have specific conditions that are win conditions. These conditions will usually revolve around a very specific problematic champion. They either are peeling their backline very well, killing the team quickly, are exceptionally strong in CC or wave clear, or itemized into a crazy strong frontliner. In these cases you may need to play specifically with the goal of capitalizing when they aren't around or killing them specifically, but your macro will not change much beyond that. There are also times where you yourself will be the enemy win condition, and you'll need to play safer or play around enemy vision to avoid giving up objectives due to a death or showing up across the map. In the example I gave, Anivia and Morgana are two problem champs, and you would need to kill them or get baron while also split pushing to properly win that game.

@@CasuallyRekt i mean in high elo if you have at least 2 people fed its possible to win. indeed not everyone needs to do their part perfectly , at least 2-3 people and its winnable but i've also seen games that drag 30+ min and one mistake from your teammate can cost you the game. its all about macro in late-game and everyone needs to play well

Doesn't work that well since you don't have a supp with you, but what i usually do on red side is crash waves > river, check for vision plant, put a pink, if there's no jungle, steal blue/gromp then go back to cs

the type of guide you want .. mmmm. im strungling sometimes to defend underturret as im getting huge pokes.. from adc's and supports while playing vayne.. so i die under turret frequently.. and before you say... your jungler has to gank.. they never do in gold ello.. so.. something else i can do? :D

nice guide. What i struggle with is: when i push 3 waves in bot under enemy tower around 10 mins, when i try to pressure I end up dying.And I can't find the time to go mid beacuse enemy clears the wave very fast

Positioning is super difficult for adc especially against assassin's and flanking bruisers, it's really hard to get ur damage off without getting popped

building lead and sharing this lead with your teammates feels amazing, but what do i do when they start running it down in diamond2+ elo? as an ad carry, it feels impossible to do anything else please help=)

Feel like an isse i often come accros is when it is benefitial to move to join a fight. Have had times where 4v4 fights r breaking out in the botlane at 5 min and i have 2 ish waves chrashing, have 2 walk through them to get into the action to something that looks lost. Should i stay and secure free gold n xp, or fight with my team for a chance of a higher favored fight that benefits more people overall, but less pr. person.

I'm spamming caitlyn and now I realize there is a lot of situation where I don't group with my teammate to only get 1 or 2 waves I should think a bit more about that I think my worse issue is timing back, i think im kinda bad at it like when i take plates when i buy ?

I don't really understand the matchups, cause I'm main top, but i find myself looking to the pressure that each support have, and try to play around it.

My last eight games have all had a laner or jungler that inted, flamed, or some combination of the two. I feel like I’m sitting over here desperately trying to find out what I am doing wrong as ADC and my jungler is already 0/3 and has started running it down.

When playing adc(3rd role I play out of 3, least one) I struggle with finding ways to poke enemy adc. I usually run Ez, Cass carry if we need ap On Ez it kinda feels like even if I manage to bring enemy to 40% straight at level 1 they just go back to like 90% by the time I get E and it's like it was useless On Cass Q does scare people away for duration and I hit it fairly well, but by itself it does no damage and I'm not able to E their faces yet because early Cass mana sucks

What are you strugling with as an adc? Having a non troll support or having a team that actually do something like usually i have mage supports against 3 assassins, no peels in game and I'm blamed for having negative kda while the enemy noc spam ult me and my mage support can't hit a skillshot, or having junglers that don't afk in jungle powerfarming with cc junglers like sejuani

Having synergy with support and getting them to match my play style better. I know you can’t control other players but every lane they match my play style I win and win the game usually. But counter synergy I always lose. Do I adjust and just accept it or are there ways to coax them into my play style

The Jhin got a little more than a wave of CS, then got two kills mid and an assist after his death... I'm slightly confused how that isn't worth it. In my experiences, if I join the team mid for that kind of fight against fed kat+nocturne, I die without being able to ult from the side and score two kills. Once those two have a lead, you can never commit to a proper teamfight, because that's just a target-rich environment for Katarina. Case in point: His team had a Lulu and the both of them still got exploded nearly instantaneously. My real critique of the Jhin is that he dithered about where to go after taking that wave; if he'd gone straight mid, he would've shown up earlier to the (inevitable) fight.
