35 platinum, for 1 nanite. or sell it for 17,500ish which buys over 100 pugneum which refines into 4 nanites
@JasonPlaysNMS5 жыл бұрын
Pugneum definitely works, but you can't mine it unless you are killing sentinels like a boss. You can refine platinum though
@agnichatian5 жыл бұрын
good point ! - and also we could skip the platinum-making step, and instead directly sell gold and silver for slightly more: 1 plat = 505 units but 1 gold + 1 silver = 353 + 186 = 539. 1 pugneum is 138 so 539 / 138 = 3.9 pugneum per gold+silver. Since 25 pugneum = 1 nanite, it takes 25 / 3.9 = 6.4 gold+silver per nanite instead of 35. So selling gold+silver gives 35 / 6.4 = 5.47 times as many nanites as the platinum conversion. This would skip the platinum step but add a step of buying a lot of pugneum.

Jason! I discovered something on accident but if you refine residual goop to living slime, you can refine it down an additional 2 times, to mold then nanites. It's time consuming to melt it down the several stages to get nanites but almost all damaged machinery has a decent supply of goop or slime on them, as well as abandoned settlements and buildings. I believe it was 5:1 for nanites conversions. I make about 5k nanites every couple of hours of just scavaging goop
@JasonPlaysNMS5 жыл бұрын
Definitely a great way to do it too

@@JasonPlaysNMS did you make a video on farming whispering eggs for nanites too? I don't remember... I was doing some testing today with the Residual Goop route. It's found primarily in Trading/Mercantile/Shipping/Commercial systems...Teal, on the galaxy map. If there's not 4000 or so on the main terminal, then they're on the one through the door beside the upgrade vendors...5 teal systems and 300,000 units later, and we end up with close to 25,000 Residual Goop... Refine it across 6 medium refiners, and you're looking at 3, 40 minute sessions of free time to explore while it's refining...Split the final product, Runaway Mold... across 3 medium refiners, and 20 minute later you're left with...roughly 5,300 Nanites...and, that's just at that scale, with no biological horrors involved...

*A MUCH BETTER & CHEAPER way to farm nanites* is to refine: *_Residual Goop ---1:1---> Living Slime ---1:1---> Viscous Fluids ---1:1---> Runaway Mould ---5:1---> Nanite Cluster_* And you can buy TONS of Residual Goop from individual ships on any stations *(as seen in: 8:44 that would translate to 679 Nanite Clusters for 84'975 Units). Use a Large Refiner with a Solar Panel & Battery for almost free nanite generation (only small cost for buying Goop), you can even use the portable refiner. 5x Residual Goop = 1x Nanite Cluster Compared to: 35x Gold + 35xSilver = 1x Nanite Cluster AND you don't even need a farm, nor do you need combat, you just need some money (which is relatively easy to get) and just transform the money into nanites. In terms of money: 8:44 Residual Goop at +15.1% = 25 Unit, amount: 3399 Cost: 3399*25 = 84'975 Units Nanites: 3399/5 = 679 Nanite Clusters (the nr: 5 is the conversion ratio of 5 Goop to 1 Nanite) Total: 84'975 / 679 = *125 Units per 1 Nanite Cluster* The Gold/Silver --> Platinum route is MUCH more expensive. 9:35 Platinum at +14.1 % = 648 Units, amount: 4497 cost: 4497*648 = 2'914'056 Units Nanites: 4497/35 = 128 Nanites Clusters (the nr: 35 is the conversion ratio of 35 Platinum to 1 Nanite) Total: 2'914'056 / 128 = *22'766 Units per 1 Nanite Cluster* Arguably, you would make more nanites from selling the Gold/Silver/Platinum to the ship pilots in exchange for Residual Goop & then transform the Goop into nanites, then it doesn't cost ANy units at all to generate nanites.

Couple of things. First.. go BACK (like going to 0/4,080) when buying large amounts. You go back once, and it loops back to max. Secondly buying plat is a bad method. Farm it , sure, then sell it. Buy Pungneum, refine it. (use personal refiner while your buying if you want) Supply depot should only be big enough so the amount you mine is = to the amount you can refine, while more mines, maybe slightly higher. this way when you pull it out - you refine it all - then you have enough to refine all infinitely. If you have "super storage" you'll never refine it all, and those refiners are basically only working at 10% or less of power - you could use this to your advantage and destroy a few of them and reclaim mats to build somewhere else, or just plan ahead and use less refiners. Having storage for 100,000 means you would need some 10 refiners going, and you have to go back to them when they hit the 4,000 or so marker (going back twice) to pull out material. (I wish they would make a refiner you can supply line into storage, output only to prevent this)

Without needing to memorize affluent, booming, etc, directly to the left of the system production type icon are 3 indicator dots. 1 dot are your poor economic (tier 1) systems, 2 dots would be your moderate economic (tier 2) systems, and 3 dots are your target wealthy economic (tier 3) systems. There are tons of hidden features like this where icons are accompanied by indicators which can help you without any need to read anything. However, in this instance, the %'s matter if your trading, which you are not, and by this point in your game progress seeking to farm nanites, you should be making millions, have billions, and care only to acquire nanites to do things like upgrade the class of that c grade ship you thought looked cool and never got rid of so it can finally shine the way you always knew deep down inside it could.

Larval cores do respawn, at least on normal. I have a planet with a lot of them, just plant a base at each one to find them. Also don't excavate under the building as the building will collapse into the ground. Platinum farming used to work better in previous versions, ratio was 5 for 1 from what I recall. 35 to 1 is almost not worth bothering with. By far the best "farm everything" method is to go to a bunch of space stations in your teleporter memory and accept all missions that involve killing/feeding/scanning creatures plants predators and sentinels. After about 20 or so, go to a planet and do the activities. The missions complete all at once and this gives a buttload of standing credits and nanites.

You can flood the market in different systems with platinum and buy it back so your platinum stack will grow and you make a ton of units along the way

Ok.. heres what's up... do any mission for hunting monstrosities through a nexus mission in the anomaly. Once you get to the marked abandoned building use your terrain device on your multi-tool to dig holes under all the larva core eggs. Stay inside the holes you made under them the collect them without being harmed by the creatures once they spawn. They will not attack you if your underground, even if the holes are open up above. Each one is worth 50 nanites and theres like 2500 worth at every abandon building. Also make sure to kill atleast the first amount required so you can go inside and find the next abandon building, which will have the same amount of larva cores that you can harvest. Afterwards just fly back to the Anomaly and cancel the mission. Hands down this is the easiest way to make nanites. 5 larva cores will Generate you 250 nanites and your looking at atleast 50 to 60 larva cores during one mission.. also make sure your always either in the whole you made under them or on the roof of the building.. The creatures only do massive damage if your on level ground with them. Their spit or Projectiles aren't that harmful if your on the roof, and you should be very safe underground while you're shooting their eggs underneath.. they will drop down In the hole for you to collect after shooting them.. just make sure to grab them as fast as possible before they disappear. I'm certain this works. I've made over 100,000 nanites this way. Make note this is after the beyond update and is still working as of this post today.
@ericborden77874 жыл бұрын

I farmed whole heaps yesterday. what you need to do is find a new abandoned building and DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING AND INTERACT WITH THE COMPUTER. Farm all the eggs and save and reload(you only have to do this once) in that area. Put a base computer so you can come back to it. Then get into your ship and go into straight up, keep going until you see asteroids or see other big capital ships and frigates come in. Then do a 180 degrees turn and go back. They respawn every single time, if they don't go back into space and come back.

You can create a complex mining operation in 2 bases on appropriate systems and planets, to be able to extract gold and silver to make platinum and refine that into nanites, or you can get a nice fighter, fit it with weapons and weapon upgrades, go into space, summon your freighter and just start raiding the other fleets that spawn when you call your own. If you only destroy the cargo of the capital ships not the pods then you don't loose reputation, if you don't destroy all the sentinel ships you don't get more than Lv2 security response and with this you can make a lotta materials extremely fast, not only platinum, but chomatic metal, gold, Magnetic Ferrite, even Freighter Upgrade modules. 30 minutes of nanite farming. Multiply Chlorine with Oxygen, sell 9999 for around 6 million and buy 3 small A class fighters at a trade outpost. They each drop 4-6 upgrade modules, it will net you at least 3600 nanites. I do that once in a while, not much for just standing around waiting for ships to fly in but it´s by far the fastest way. It will also give you the most expensive item in the game, storage module items ... not in itself but in what it would otherwise cost to upgrade inventory in your ships. . All you need is the smallest Oxygen farm which you can get close to most bases, once a day means a single extractor and 2 storage units. Keep some Chlorine to be able to keep multiplying... it multiplies by factor 6 when combined with Oxygen.
@KuKoKaNuKo4 жыл бұрын
You should mention that this method is much easier on Normal due to everything stacking to 9999. Survival and Perma-Death have reduced inventory capacities (250 normal, 500 high-capacity, 1000 freighter). I've had to fly back into space a few times for whispering eggs to respawn at abandoned buildings. However if you find a dead planet (airless, abandoned, dead, etc) any planet where there's less gravity, there's usually whispering eggs scattered all over the surface! Easy way to gather larval cores and jump away from creatures. 10,000 nanites in roughly 2 hours!
@Fresh-Spence5 жыл бұрын
Also when you start refining, go into your system settings and manually change your time a hr or 2 ahead. Your refiners will done instantly, this still works.

a good way to get larval cores without constantly having to go to abandoned buildings is to go on to airless planets. they are filled with whispering eggs and it's very easy to walk around on those planets.

this is cool. I've been duping for nanites lately. But this is cool. if you haven't done a video on it yet... the fastest way to gather nanites via whispering eggs is on one of those planets where they pop up by the 1's.. 1 here 1 there. you probably know this. but yeah, the NOMAD, just cruising and poppin EGGS.. is the most nanites I've ever gathered via whispering eggs. low amount of time and effort, and fun! one of those atmosphereless planets, 1 egg here and there. pop out of nomad, pop back in, next egg.

Jason I was finally able to fix my save. I have ownership of my main base again and the other one. 2 of them disappeared but not a huge deal. I have a new frost base that farms frost crystal and I have a silver mine right by. I then found a planet to harvest gold on and am now getting some nanities. I mainly farm to make circuit boards and then sell them at my main base but I wanted to set this up to harvest nanites. The total yeld is 50 million units at my main base. Enough to play the game :). I mine magnetized ferrite too which is always good to have. I'm just happy I can play again didn't play since the update killed it.

Platinum used to be good for nanites before Beyond update because it was 5:1 ratio, now with 35:1 it's a waste of time. And also Larva core's do respawn, I had a beacon set to one building and when I got back even the holes I dug were there so it was an easy picking! And yes, this was post Beyond update.

I found a dead planet with whispering eggs everywhere just laying around on the ground that respawn, I just built a tiny teleporter base there, if I run out of nanites I run around for 10min farming eggs and I get like 10 000 nanites easy. And what's nice is I can also collect a ton of larval cores and then just drop them in other players menus, basically giving new players nanites, as far as I know you can't give nanites as is to other players so the larval cores are a nice gift to new struggling players who need nanites.

@@JasonPlaysNMS its the second planet I found like this but the first time around I did not construct a base or teleporter, just didn't occur to me, both planets were almost exactly the same, there dead planets, they have no fauna or flaura super low gravity so you can jump very far with thrusters and high sentinal activity and then there's just whispering eggs laying about everywhere, I thought that because I've already come across 2 of these planets that they were a common occurrence seems that I might actually have found little nanite treasure planets, twice.

Hey. If you don't mind me asking, what do i do with coordinates? I went onto the coordinates exchange and found a freighter I want, and it gives the glyphs and coordinates. I went to the portal and put the glyphs into it, so now its on my " discovery" list. I put a waypoint on it, but its super far away. I'm like, 70000 light years away from center and the solar system is like 55000 light years away from center. Not sure what to do other than manually jump those 15000+ light years difference. Is there another method I'm unaware of? Thank you for reading and your time.
@JasonPlaysNMS5 жыл бұрын
If you input the portal glyphs into the portal then it should light up. Then go into the portal, it will take you to the planet specified by the glyph address. Then you use the coords to find that specific location on the planet. For more details check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqK6mKipotmsmpI

I also just realised I typed in the wrong numbers for the distance from the center. I'm 700000 light years from the center, and the solar system with the freighter I want is like 55000 light years from the center. So i have a lot more travel distance then previously mentioned 😅

I have a base with whispering eggs that I still farm for nanites. I found that through others on the internet that if you go to the anomaly after harvesting it should respawn them. It sometimes took a few docks with the anomaly before it worked. Also you cant touch the terminal inside the building ive found. Also I think I found a way to glitch the monster AI at the sites. At least at my location you can attack a core and when they start attacking repeatedly get in and out of your ship. Usually after 3-4 times they stop attacking you and at most just bump into you.

If you're going to be on a shopping spree, also buy Pugneum - it refines at a 5 to 1 ratio rather than a 35 to 1 that you get from Platinum.
