Matthew 6:16-18, "Moreover when you fast, do not fast with a sad countenance as the hypocrites do for they disfigure their faces to show to others that they are fasting. Truly I say to you they have received their reward in full. But when you fast anoint your head with oil and wash your face so you will not be obvious that you be fasting but only to your father who is in secret so your father who sees you in secret will reward you openly."

What if the person fasting was a diabetic? Personally I get nervous when I don’t eat sometimes... I cant find in the New Testament where Paul says we must fast.... I like Pastor Guziks teaching. But Jesus ministered to the Jews only with one or two exceptions. It’s Pauls epistles that I study most.

If a person is diabetic, I am very very sure that he or she has got a demon causing the pancreas to malfunction. Or if there is no demons involved, then it can be a generational curse that has to manifest its breakage because of what Christ has done. Check the family tree and you will be able to figure out. My husband has diabetes and his elder brother too. My husband is a Christian but generational curse sins allowed the curse to manifest. I am trusting for his healing as soon as he comes back to the Lord. God is not the Giver of sicknesses and by Jesus' stripes we WERE healed, but that does not mean people don't get sick. Curses and sins are big open doors for demons to come, whether Christians or non Christians. We are fearfully and wonderfully made and there is no reason why our pancreas won't work!

Hey @Dandelion_flight, I hope this message blesses you today. Sadly the body can do many things for different reasons, and they are not caused by demons or curses. For example, if you consume significant amounts of sugar for a prolonged period of time, your tissues will become less sensitive to insulin and your pancreas will work harder to produce the insulin. It might then lose this capacity to do so after doing it for so long. Please lift up your brothers and sisters in Christ and encourage them, we can leave everything else up to God. Bless you today. Hi Pastor David, with regards to Matthew 17/Luke 9/ Mark 9 around 19 mins, about the boy with the demon that caused epilepsy, I note that many Bible translations do not include the word 'fasting'. The KJV does. My question to you is, is Jesus referring to getting unbelief out of the disciples by fasting? Or is Jesus referring to getting the demon out by fasting? In Matt 17:19-20 Jesus explained that the demon could not be cast out because of the disciples' unbelief. In Mark 9:23 Jesus is saying the anything is possible for one who believes. So I do think He is meaning that even without fasting, pure belief in the power of God to deliver will do the job. So what does the fasting and prayer actually refer to and for what? These passages have caused a lot of confusion in me and has been something which I have been thinking about more a loooooooooong time.

@@DavidGuzikEnduringWord Oh David, Christianity is full of hypocrites, misleaders, State of Israel-worshippers, Jew-worshippers, “don’t eat this!”, “don’t drink that!”, must believe the world is flat, must worship on Saturday, must obey the government, must love Donald Trump, must use the Name “Yeshua” and not “Jesus”, etc… the list goes on and on, all of them being seduced by doctrines of demons and having their itching ears scratched by false teachers, all over the world! It really can put such a strain on one's heart. Nevertheless, we must carry on, trusting in the Faith that was once and for all delivered to the saints.
