Thank you. I have struggled with this parable of the manager. I was relieved to find one analysis that explains a cultural context of how the manager is paid. Think of the owner as a wholesaler. The manager is retail. He isn’t paid salary - he is paid from his Mark up. He was rebuked for gouging customers and he repented by giving away the rest of his profit. I’m not sure if this passes the theological analysis - but for me I choose to believe this version as I have real struggle with the Bible principles I understand otherwise. God bless!

16:40 For all of you wondering, the bible does not talk about the third eye. it is associated with the occult and Satanism. God is not giving divine power to everyone. if anything that sounds like the devil playing god. In Isaiah 42: 8 “I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” Only He has the power, it is divine and solely His alone

So, do I close my bank account and give my money to the poor. Quit my job so I don’t store more treasure. I do this I’ll be homeless. How does one go about this?
@DavidGuzikEnduringWord2 жыл бұрын
It's important for all followers of Jesus to realize that everything we have is a gift from God, and that we have a stewardship over all that has been given to us. We need to not think that we have the right to do whatever we want with our money and resources, but that we need to defer to God's direction in our lives. Very few Christians will ever be called to seek it all, or give it all away, but we should be willing to if God directs us to. Rather, our part is to understand that God has made us managers of our finances, and that we should spend or Dave our money as God directs us. So the "treasure" that we have isn't our treasure, but God's treasure, and He will direct us what to do with it. Hope this helps!

I am surprised to hear you speak of Christmas. There is no Christmas holiday in the Biblical account of God's holy, sabbath days as described in Leviticus 23. Christmas and Easter are pagan holidays that we celebrated long before Yeshua.
