Hey Shane! It took me a month to recover from your 2 day riding school. Great training you really get people to push past their comfort zone and show them they're capable of a lot more than they think. Cheers Mate.

Cheers Nate, good to hear from you, and yes you are right, gotta push those boundaries to get better mate!!!!

I was hoping to find a video by you on low speed control Shane. Again no BS "wave your legs from side to side,try standing on your hands on the tricky sections" etc😀

Yeah mate, that topic is on the short list of more How To's in the near future!!!

Cheers mate! We need to line up a rip session when I come down to So Cal in Jan 2025, good to see you still shredding in the races down that way!!

Hey Shane, what's the deal with your grips? Noticed that before and they look pretty shredded/bare bar. Is there a functional reason for that or something interesting?
@DirtWiseRidingSchoolАй бұрын
The "interesting" thing about these grips (which actually isn't that interesting!)........, is that I'm just too lazy and too much of a tight are to go change them for new ones, ha!!! They work good enough for me, however though they are getting close to the end of their life cycle!!!

Just stumbled upon your technique videos, great stuff! As I'm a noob on an electric ktm freeride, am I to stand on the arches as well? (Rear brake on the left side handlebar) I've listened to the balls people and it's heavy for the calfs 😅 Also tried the burning sensation in the front of my thighs, as well as the arm pump 💪. At least I'm progressing, down to 37 minutes from 70 on the local 15km enduro track, but there's plenty of room for improvement! Awesome fun!!!
@DirtWiseRidingSchoolАй бұрын
Stoked for you with your big improvements on your local track - time and practice, getting out there and doing it, really fast-tracks your improvements!!! For the reasons you mentioned (more exertion on your leg muscles etc), yes it is better to stand on your arches on the E-bike also, this allows you to ride for a longer period of time with less fatigue compared to the other option.
@SwedBear1Ай бұрын
@DirtWiseRidingSchool Thanks mate, appreciate it! Arches it is, maybe I won't get cramp taking my boots off next time 😅
@DirtWiseRidingSchoolАй бұрын
Making sure you stay hydrated during your ride works to offset cramps as well, doing so definitely helps for me!!

I would have really liked and preferred some visual rather than 4 mins of explaining prior to a visual que. Just a tip for fututre vids mate. It's less engaging when you explain for so long without showing technique. 👍
@DirtWiseRidingSchoolАй бұрын
Cheers for the feedback! Yeah I agree and that is why if you look at the videos loaded up in the days following, I did exactly what you say, because of that exact reason, and that is the intent for all of the future videos also!!

Show off a railroad track to slow ride along!! - I always love that scene from your awesome DVD instructional videos….. Consider wearing a helmet on these demos so I can show this to my kids :)
