It does matter which plants. Leafed trees give you a "large tree" and this gives you 400 to 500 food. And the large cactus that give you wood give you "Medium Large Cactus" and gives you more food than bushes.

The large cactus tree can be used, it gives 100 food. (The green cactus tree that gives thatch, wood and cactus sap)

Aren't they supposed to give some kind of bonus to growing crops on their backs or something like that? Maybe planting crop plots on them could help feed them in some way? Might be worth exploring. I haven't got to tame one yet. I was spending hours trying to figure out how to set up a cluster on our home network so my wife and I don't loose our progress when going over to Scorched Earth.

It hydrates and gives full greenhouse effect, so it doesn't give them any unique benefit, but it makes it so you barely have to take care of your plants

if you get the potion mod you can make "stuffed" potion that fills food to max

The biggest food i found was (on scorched earth!) "extra large tree" which is 3000 food.

Little tip! If you haven’t built anything on the Oasisaur, you can put it in a Dinoball from the Dino Depot mod and it will gain hunger slowly.

Feed it xtra large trees they give over 500+ food. So harvest the trees that branch off into a few trunks.

Trees give a lot of food, I put an extra large tree into a pot and it gave my oasisaur 3000 food

I tamed mine n feeding with pots with Xtra large tree.. Does a the job good actually.. But! When I saw it had everything on its back.. Trees.. Cyrtals.. Metal.. Etc.. Now after I tamed it it's back has nothing

... ok THIS feeding method sucks it just adds MORE CON's! to the list. as this thing has only 2 PRO's being able to revive your dead & having ridiculously low stamina use & recovering stam while flying, so far the CON's are it can't fight, so you need turrets or plant X & to do those you need to go digging in the games ini settings to turn ON a BASE GAME Feature in ASE. Then its unable to tolerate touching water even if it can STAND in it easily, & now it only eats potted plants... WHY not make this thing like the horse & graze only instead of grazing on grass tiles this thing activly each bushes & trees to fill its hunger by the same amount as one pot? then you'd have a reason to roam the map with this thing looking for food to keep it fed.

I had had the same problem. After I had the game repaired via Steam, I went back into the game. All I had to do was empty the pots and refill them.

Yeah no this shouldve been how to tame it, not how to keep it alive. Im just gonna cheat its stats every once in a while. I aint tryna grind in singleplayer this hard. If it gave 1k food id grind it but not 100 each

@longshotblonde they also need to add some things that make it more fun for single players and those who prefer foot pvp. Like the ability to climb without picks, the ability to dodge, some npc characters that are on towns who then give you missions and it could be simple missions like kill certain Dino or capture a certain Dino. Something to give us purpose and allow us to earn rewards just the grind for materials sucks. Npc could even tell new players where to find the artifacts and you get rewarded for finding them. I even thought the ability from last oasis to pack up and unpack a small base with the wagons would be nice for scorched since it had a nomad like feel. A couple of my buddies suggested simple magic abilities like throwing a fireball, light a fire in your hand to keep warm or light the way, the ability to throw a rock and similar elemental magic features that use stamina or a new mana bar would make things just that much more playable. But instead we got this garbage.

I did buy the pack but if they don't fix the oasisaur food and I don't think it's worth the $10 price. It's really not in the first place but the wagons are really cool. These packs adding towns and npcs could've been amazing for the game but alas we are stuck with Snail Games.
